Another Rider penalty was roughing the kicker which was offset by a no yards call with the result that Edmonton lost 5yds and remained third down. Odd that no yards is a more severe penalty than roughing.

In the end I should have played the spread of 10.5 although it was close. Will now need the Argos to win tonight in order to eat next week. Hoping for a good turnout and a well played game for the home team.

I prefer the NFL system. If each team has a penalty just replay the down. This summing up yardage is bizarre. I think there are 2 types of no yards. Intentional is 15 yards and unintentional is 5 years. I think there is also 2 types of roughing the kicker penalties: roughing the kicker and contacting the kicker. The roughing has more yardage. My guess the SK penalty was 10 yards and Edmonton was charged with 15.

My son and I will be there but we are not hopeful. The Argos have been brutal this year particularly at home.

Mosaic looked like the place to be on a beautiful Friday night but I do agree with you about the too many people which is part of the oxymoron.

Fortunately for the Riders the refs kept them in the game with 133 yds in penalties for Edmonton to 53 for the Riders including a roughing the passer with 24 seconds left which made the one sidedness look less worse than it was. Another penalty was a punt out of bounds. Riders only had 1 point until late in the first half.

I thought Cody Fajardo played well and strange to me to see Edmonton fans still insisting on Tre Ford as the starter. Edmonton also has one of the most expensive O lines in the league so something up with giving up 8 sacks and no run game. Kilam will be lucky to finish out his contract imo. To think they had Chris Jones.

Meanwhile Bethel Thompson beats the Stamps but don't say anything good about that.
That ref never favours the Riders, thats Andre Proulx's job.

Edmonton played terribly. 8 sacks on Fajardo mainly because he thinks being a ballerina will open a receiver downfield or deflect 4 linemen coming at full tilt. Those pirouettes cost Riders entire seasons.

Edmonton coverage on the Riders was good and vice versa.

Go Argos.
