I loved Archie! While he was a bigot & racist, he was funny as hell & didn't give a crap about voicing his opinions, right or wrong! You knew who he was from the get go!! I admire people who don't give a damn what others think about them, even if they're wrong. At least you know what they think. Now-a-days, people keep thoughts to themselves because of the ridicule & (sometimes) hated that exists. So you never really get to know the person at all. It's very troubling because then no one knows who to trust which is exactly what the "leftists/regressives/socialists" et al want. They want to dominate & they're succeeding by silencing the vast majority of people.
Probably helped that he was a fictional character, and therefore didn't have much to fear.

Longshoremen are generally bad asses. These days it is the HAs running the ports.
