NORAD is an antique system and golden dome requires Canada but not just the Dew Line but but in the Provinces.
Reopening Port of Churchill and soon to be Port of Gray's Bay along with Pt Iqualiut expansion means there is a plan to open Northwest Passage to commercial traffic. Thats obvious. LNG to Europe needs a shortcut. It's a long way to the EU thru Panama. It's days instead of weeks thru our own waters. If O&G in the MacKenzie Valley and Delta are opened we will be the #1 energy producer on the planet
We don't have the size of Navy needed to protect the NWP or a Coast Guard to run it safely, contain spills or recover vessels that have mishaps. We need the NWP as do the Americans who we share the route with.
