It's still too chilly this close to the ocean to leave the windows open all night but my secret weapon is that I usually sleep like the dead.
Screw’em. Do what you want. We’re right under the flight path for the General Hospital & I never thought I would get used to something like helicopters flying over the house, but…humans are nothing if not adaptable.
The trolling nocturnal junkies piss me off with the trails of strewn garbage they leave, but they’ve become urban background noise like cats fighting or Payloaders over at the cement plant, or trains in the distance, etc…
If you wanna sleep with your window windows open, then damn well sleep with your windows open.
Move to the country. Only thing that bothers us is when they put manure on the fields. Then it smells kine the city.
The sirens and STARS are a brief annoyance. The ghetto bird is hours and hours.
I get it. These two (the younger dogs) where on the night shift, & the older dogs do the day shift…
(The cat is just an arsehole, but they are wired to be nocturnal also anyway for the most part)

That was part of the crime scene starting in the alley behind the hotel, and it sprawled across Victoria to the residential area, so it completely closed Victoria Avenue both directions.
