Most people when they buy a sports franchise have someone in mind to run it. Apparently not in Edmonton though. Still wish the guy good luck and speculate that even if it was $50 million which it probably was not it he got it for pennies on the dollar. Sad ending for a community owned franchise that had a lot of success over the years with more than a few devout followers.

Could be Jarious Jackson is Coach of the Year. Then they would pretty well have to bring him back which is when the truth becomes no longer hidden. This year is Edmonton's big chance imo. Good luck with Tre Ford next year.

Toronto was not as bad as the game showed. Tough to play in the rain although Chad Kelly threw for over 400 yds. Big game this week in BC that should be a good one.

Calgary in a death spiral. For some reason I think they give Montreal a real fight next week. Part of it is Cody Fajardo although he is missing receivers right now.

Worst Shea Patterson could have done is to lose five games in a row. Big question is do they re-sign Trevor Harris and don't be so sure they won't. As for Reynolds and O'Day they don't need to be fired but they do need to step aside to make way for a new football ops guy. O'Day can stay VP and
Reynolds could move into a Past President role. Stay as they are and they will be fired.

Argos can't win on the road. I think it will come down to Toronto or Saskatchewan (crossover) for 3rd east spot.

Ottawa and Montreal play each other twice more. If Ottawa sweeps and matches Montreal in wins for rest of season, they will win the division.

It has to be gamesmanship with the Elks announcing Tre Ford as a starter two weeks in advance taking the hottest QB in the league out of the game and playing right into Winnipeg's hands. Bombers have been lucky that way.

Reeks of interference from above but watch Geno Lewis's numbers go down if they do start Ford. He'll soon be injured with his style of play. Elks are 36 - 1 to win the Grey Cup which is possible if they don't out smart themselves too much.

Bombers sign Jake Dolegala and Bryan Scott. Their season rests upon the shoulders of Zach Collaros.

Argos roar on the road. Seven sacks and 38 minutes time of possession. Toss Chad Kelly's name into the MOP race. Wait he is the reigning MOP but Glenn Suitor never mentions it. Kelly played extremely well. Argos in the dome are dangerous.

BC out coached themselves. Rourke struggles early and then puts a drive together and gets pulled. Nice to see Vernon Adams back but it won't be for long without the O line playing better.

The last 2 Argo visits to the dome were BC blowouts. This is revenge. Strange coaching from the BC side. I have actually seen a lot of strange coaching decisions in the CFL this year. Did someone steal all the coaches manuals?

Big news with Rogers buying out Bell from the MLSE group. Not sure it will affect the Argos but it's getting very convoluted who owns what. One thing for sure is big companies are taking over.

Sports in general continues to be a superficial priority generating huge revenues when reality is we can do without it altogether. At some point they are going to have to do better.

Needless to say it's a big game tonight with Hamilton visiting Toronto. Really no limit as to what could go down. As for the football they are two good teams both looking for a win. I have Chad Kelly on my fantasy team and bet the Cats to beat the +5.5 spread.

Sask in Calgary is no song and dance for either side either. I think the Stamps are the better team but that doesn't mean they will win. Many changes for the Riders adds to the confusion but time to go back to Shea Patterson if they start slow imo. Ditto for Matt Shiltz to see some time if Calgary stalls. Stamps need the win more.

Ottawa has won a lot of games at home this year but are underdogs to Montreal this week. I think reality slowly sets in for the Redblacks and too many injuries does not help

Still can't believe Edmonton is not going to start McLeod Bethel Thompson and see Tre Ford putting up 100 yds passing in the first half. Has to be orders from above. Still can't believe they fired Chris Jones and sold the team to be honest. Expecting another lower bowl sellout though so good for the new guy. Picked the Elks as outright winners and think they should.

Will be at the Argos game tonight. I hate this game because if there is one team I can't stand the Argos to lose to is the Pussy Cats. Also, they always have a whole bunch of their stupid Osca-wee-wee fans come up the QEW too. And yes, I hate the PussyCats more than the Bombers.

So let's ignore the Argos defence which couldn't stop anybody all night.
Let's ignore another example of the worst officials anywhere -- CFL refs as far as I can tell are about the worst in any league I have seen.
Let's ignore the quirky and stupid CFL rules. An offside (that wasn't really there) at the 1 should not be an automatic first down. And the league needs to adopt NFL punting rules. This no yards shit is stupid.
Ignoring all that, this game came down to stupid coaching decision. Argos got 1st down at about Hamilton 30 down by 2 with just over a minute left on the clock. They had been running with great success on the drive. They should have run 2 more run plays. They probably would have got another 1st down and could run some more. But even if they didn't. they would have knocked 40 seconds off the clock ( or 20 and a timeout by Ham). Kick the FG and you have maybe 15-20 seconds left and maybe your defence can hold for that long. But no, 2 incomplete passes, plenty of time for Hamiton to get into FG range and win the game.

Big win for Hamilton in this too little too late season in front of another noisy crowd at BMO. Hearing 18,000 which is decent. It was a great game that went down to the final play.

Riders won more than Calgary lost in a game that may save their season. New kid in town looking very good at RB with a 200 yd game. Nice when the run game is sustainable on it's own. Stamps played well but lost again. They will not be happy. Also curious if they draft Kurtis Rourke #1. Dickenson still does a good interview.

My guess is you were standing for the final FG attempt. Proline paid 3.25 for the Cats to win.

It's fun and pretty easy money
Beer bets. In used to do proline years ago but haven't in ages.

PS

I'd dont like the new TSN announcer. It sounds like he sprung a leak. Ridersssss Bomberssss touchdownsssss drivesssss handsssss
