Edmonton could blow this. I don't think either Ford is that good to be honest. They need to stop letting the new owners wife pick the players.

Funny thing is the Bombers think they played well.

Should be a good game next week and I'll probably pick Edmonton again unless they stay with Ford as starter. Will be a different game with MBT imo.

Hearing a fight in the Calgary locker room after the loss to Sask. Good times.

Dave Dickenson should hire Craig Dickenson as head coach of the Stampeders. It would confuse quite a few people and too bad they didn't look more alike.

Riders should win over Ottawa given their performance of last week but will they? Critical game on the road to the playoffs

Would have been a good week to have Zach Collaros in the fantasy lineup with 6 tds and 400+ yds passing.

Was at the Argos game. Good game. Both teams showed flashes of brilliance. Both teams failed in some key areas. We got the win and we needed it. With BC collapsing giving the Pussy Cats a win, we needed a win to keep ahead by 2 games. With Ottawa's loss to SK, we are now within 1 point of Ottawa. The game in 3 weeks in Toronto against Ottawa will decide that as long as we match Ottawa win for win otherwise. We cannot catch Montreal due to that silly tie.

Remaining games:
Toronto: @ Winnipeg, Ottawa, @ Edmonton
Ottawa: @ Montreal, @ Toronto, Hamilton
Hamilton: Winnipeg, Calgary, @ Ottawa

Argos played well. Looked like a decent crowd. I swear you guys are having fun.

Chad Kelly makes a difference.

We did have fun even through the rain. There were at least 2 plays where I thought Kelly was going down as a sack when all of a sudden the ball is in the hands of a receiver making positive yardage on the play.

Took a flyer on Jake Maier and made a small bet on the Stamps paying 3.80 to win.

Couldn't say no to going with Bo and 2.50 to win at home. Bombers suck.

Elks are done like dinner if they lose. Paying 2.0 to win. Will the Riders re-sign Trevor Harris?

Matt Shiltz looked good. Have to think Jake Maier will not be back with his contract up. Possibly a good electrician.

Bombers suck but had their run game going. 17 extra minutes time of possession plus Hamilton had 4 times as many penalty yards.

Might have been the worst week yet for CFL officiating and happy to hear McLeod Bethel Thompson call them out on it again. He will make a good head coach someday.

Some (Winnipeg) will be happy to see Edmonton, Hamilton, and Calgary eliminated from the playoffs. All three are good teams and better than their record imo. They'll still have to deal with a strong team coming out of the East be it Montreal or Toronto. Just like the old NHL days.

Interesting move by the Stamps to sign P.J. Walker who will be on an entry level contract for the next two seasons if he sticks. That said he made some money in the NFL and should have some left if he was smart. If he is broke than I guess a job is a job and he is back to being like everyone else.

Probably getting tired of the CFL but not too much more to go. Huge showdown in Regina this weekend so we'll see if they get it done. I think it will come down to field goals.

Also think Beau Baldwin will be the next Head Coach of the Calgary Stampeders. Should never have let Bo go.

Argos match up well against the Bombers. Could also be a Grey Cup preview.

We'll see if Zach Collaros plays the whole game. I picked Toronto.

From the Bomber forum:

Well, you'd have to count me among the dummies then because I never heard a whistle. Looked like Thomas was playing to the whistle. Did Thomas even touch him? Besides, Kelly dropped like he'd been shot! Should have got an embellishment penalty. :)

2 penalties for Winnipeg for 25 yds.

First one was a blatant hit to the QB on a non play for 15 and later a 10 yd bench penalty for spraying the ref with water. Both should be subject to review by the league.

Jake Thomas should be kicked out of the league if you apply the same criteria they do to other teams.

From my experience on CFL forums, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers fans are the whiniest in the league. Every hit on their QB is dirty and the defender should be suspended. But if their guy does a hit and gets penalized it is a miscarriage of justice.

So I watched the SK/BC game last night. I came away with the following:
  • Is SK that good or is BC that bad?
  • I can see why Rourke did not make it in the NFL. He is not actually making it in the CFL either.
  • BC coach has created a QB mess. Waiting to replace Rourke and then putting in QB#3 was stupid. The TSN guys were saying he views himself having 2 starters and wants to protect them but if that is the case, it is quite stupid.
  • I expect when the season is done, they will have a new coach.
  • BC, if they want to play for cup on home turf, needs to beast both SK and Winnipeg on the road (order undetermined) if they want to do that.
  • Although Winnipeg controls it's own destiny, their route to #1 seed in west is less certain. Montreal is a tough opponent particularly on the road. Only thing in Winnipeg's favour is that Montreal's fate is sealed. Calgary at home for SK is easier so Winnipeg will likely have to win.
