The word is "precedent." Not as funny as "correcting" something from wrong. . . to wrong.
Actually precedence is a word, and it's meaning (being 'the order things go in more ore less) actually isn't out of place in the thread she replied to.

People refuse to be responsible for a bad action and then they chase the money. The act of irresponsibility is the precedence of a civil suit.

She PROBABLY got caught with a spellchecker giving her bad advice and PROBABLY meant precedent but you can't know that till you know precisely what she was saying. And you didn't ask so your statement was wrong even if it turns out she did mean it. If she was thinking he was referring to civil cases always following people's inability to be responsible then precedence actually works. Bad acts precede a lawsuit. It's actually quite true - it seems like every time someone can't take responsibility there's a lawsuit. So the use of that word is entirely correct.

Nothing like correcting something from wrong.... to wrong... to even more wrong :) LOL ! If you were half as smart as you think you are sometimes you'd be dangerous :)

Uvalde shooter’s cousin arrested after making school shooting threat

SAN ANTONIO — The teenage cousin of the gunman responsible for the deadly school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, has been arrested after his family told police he was trying to buy a gun and “do the same thing,” court records show.

Police in San Antonio took Nathan James Cruz into custody Monday on charges of making threats to a public place and a family member. The 17-year-old cousin was being held in the Bexar County jail on a $160,000 bond Tuesday, jail records show.

According to police and court records, Cruz is the cousin of Salvador Ramos, the 18-year-old Uvalde resident who authorities say fatally shot 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in 2022. Police waited more than an hour to confront and kill Ramos.

The charges against Cruz stem from his mother calling police to tell them he was also threatening to open fire at a school and had said he’d shoot his sister, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by local news outlets. The San Antonio Express-News reports the mom also told officers she overheard Cruz trying to obtain a rifle over the phone.

Cruz denied making any threats when interviewed by detectives, according to the court record. The Bexar County Public Defender’s Office, which is representing him, declined to comment.

Following the massacre in Uvalde, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has waved off calls for tougher gun laws, just as he did after mass shootings at a Sutherland Springs church in 2017 and an El Paso Walmart in 2018. The issue didn’t turn Texas voters away from the Republican, who easily won a third term months after the shooting.

More than a year since the killings, the state criminal investigation into the hesitant police response to Texas’ deadliest school shooting remains ongoing.

Basically, the report came out.

Bluntly said "Cops must risk their lives to protect others".

Will be interesting to see how many quit forces across the US now.

And yet Uvalde proved otherwise.
There is a difference between putting your life on the line and committing suicide. I doubt any of the local cops had any real training to deal with that kind of situation anyway. It seems most of the training in town police forces in the south is concentrated on writing traffic tickets and keeping people with the wrong skin colour out of certain neighbourhoods. Real police work is not in the curriculum.

There were 376 cops on-site at Uvalde, from local, state, and Federal agencies.

And not two testicles in the lot.

No they haven't. Look up the stats on police deaths yourself. In the U.S., it's not even in the top 10 of dangerous jobs.
Risking your life isn't the same as actually losing your life.
Back around 2007, when Canada was getting involved in Afghanistan, somewhere around 11 Canadian soldiers lost their lives. There was much hand wringing in the news and on the bases about the huge loss of life. That same year, 19 BC loggers lost their lives at work, and no one was even shooting at them.

The only ones that really count are the ones that were there in the first 10 minutes. And I believe none of them had any testicles. After that it would have been a jurisdictional cluster fuck of the first order, which would prevent any kind of action.

So much for "risking their lives" bullshit.

If you don't want to risk your life, don't be a cop.

It's that simple.

But maybe - since you obviously didn't watch the video - read the report.
Being a cop in hicksville isn't the same as being a cop in Canada. It is all politics and connections.
