This is an all too common problem with Timmies and the fate of about 75% of the Boston Creams I order. I am usually able to lick the chocolate off the paper.

I suspect they bake them with cocaine.

They're not the same as they used to be; before the dough was made, apple pieces folded/chopped into the dough and then they were just cut into shape. Now they're weirdly braided or something and the apples are less, and more uniformly cut.
Peeling the apples was a pain in the ass but not as bad as if they're now pre-cut and smaller.
I think you’re supposed to use Tim Hortons coffee orally, but with its taste I can understand exploring options.
