Tennessee takes lead in Republican effort to restrict drag shows
Tennessee lawmakers passed a bill on Thursday restricting drag performances in public or in front of children, putting the state at the forefront of a Republican-led effort to limit drag in at least 15 states in recent months.
So, "for the children" strikes again.
If you dress up as a woman and are a man, or a man and you are a woman, a second time of doing so will get you 1-6 years?
Guess entertainment like music and movies won't be shown in Tennessee anymore (Mrs. Doubtfire anyone? Harry Styles?)
So much for Republicans being the party of "Small Government". Now they're saying to some people - you can't wear that! - and to others - you're not allowed to watch those kinds of shows.
