Okay. So this is my post...#551. What's the issue?

normal- "the usual, average, or typical state or condition."

Why do you get your dander up when I use the word 'normal'? Most kids aren't gay or trans or two-spirited and on and on and on. Teach the curriculum to the majority.

I said being gay is not the norm.

I had no idea the language police would come after me for stating a simple fact.

It’s a small minority, trying to normalize behaviour that only basic animals do.. like my neighbors male dog humping another male dog.

Humans are supposed to be elevated past animal instinct..

Serryah,

I'm actually the one percent. I know what it's like to be stigmatized because of my schizophrenia diagnosis. The afflicted posters on my mental health forum refer to other people as 'normies'.

I fully understand I am not normal...and I'm okay with it. I don't need other people getting outraged for me over the terms and meanings of words.

Great, you're comfortable with it.

But yet you are demanding that yourself, me and others like us who are 'not normal' need to be continually demeaned, stigmatized, treated as lesser, as other, or shouldn't even exist?

You might be okay with that, but I'm not. I'm not okay you think I shouldn't exist.

I'm not okay you think one of my nieces shouldn't exist.

I'm not okay you think kids shouldn't exist.

And I'll keep fighting for those people even if you want to lie down, roll over and accept it.

Tons of talented and successful artists were/ are not normal. It's what sets them apart from the pack. You can take being 'not normal' as an insult, or you can take it as a compliment depending upon your own outlook of yourself.

Skitzo and all, I've never wanted to be anybody else but me. I don't rail against being not normal...I embrace it.
