Pierre is really starting to sound like another real and true conservative like Donald Trump. Pierre could be Canada's last hope. PeePee is preaching to the choir, going for the far right, populist vote. While that may have some success within the Conservative Party, it's not going to garner a bunch of new votes federally outside of existing CPC held ridings. Now I'm sure he's not so stupid that he can't see this, the question is how much will his tune change if and when he is elected party leader? If I remember correctly Mr. O'Toole talked a lot tougher during the party leadership contest, but took on a softer, more centrist tone when he entered the federal race, and that pissed off a lot of those who elected him.

So where are all the pissed off Liberal and NDP voters going to park their vote ? They will not be holding their nose .
The smart move would be to decriminalize possession of all drugs and implement mandatory treatment for all users. This would not only put a serious dent in the drug dealer's income, it would also reduce crime.
It's all still different degrees of right wing as far as Canadians see, and I just don't think there are enough of them to win an election for PeePee. They need new converts, and PeePee doesn't seem very good at appealing to anyone but the far right. He keeps pushing weak policies, all shored up by Trudeau-hate, and that strategy has lost them three elections in a row.
