For an insurrection? Sure it is.

See, this is what happens when the left calls anything that hurts their feeling "violence" and the right calls perfectly ordinary public-health measures "tyranny" and envirobots call eating meat "murder." Turbo-charging everything into. . . THE. . . WORST. . . POSSIBLE. . . THING! just urges the "other side" to do the same damn thing.

But enough of this. . .

I heard the Yanks held their local (inferior) copy of the Grey Cup. Something about a team called the Larams beating the Bengal Cincinnatis.

Those Yanks have the weirdest team names. What the heck is a "laram" anyhow?

Come to think of it, I didn't even know they had a state named after Bengal.

When I grow up I want to be like Chris Collinsworth. He is the man!

Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act is completely unwarranted

Written by The Democracy Fund
February 15, 2022

TORONTO, Ontario. February 15, 2022

The Democracy Fund (TDF) deplores Justin Trudeau’s unwarranted invocation of the Emergencies Act to end protests associated with the Freedom Convoy.

The Emergencies Act may only be used in extraordinary circumstances such as a national emergency that seriously endangers the lives, health and safety of Canadians. It is not meant to be used to suppress peaceful protests or non-violent acts of civil disobedience.

Justin Trudeau’s government invoked the Act by declaring a public order emergency. This declaration empowers the government to make certain orders restricting the rights and freedoms of Canadians. Refusing to comply with these new restrictions can result in serious criminal charges.

The government’s new powers include prohibiting public assemblies that may reasonably be expected to lead to a breach of the peace. Other restrictions include prohibitions on travel to and within specified areas, prohibitions on the use of specified property, and forcing qualified persons to render essential services to the government.

TDF has been sending its lawyers to Freedom Convoy protests to ensure that everyone understands their fundamental freedoms and their rights to due process under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We will continue to support peaceful protestors associated with the Freedom Convoy and persons who are arrested for non-violent acts of civil disobedience.

I would say that there's certainly no comparison between the two - "feelings" Violent? Seriously? I say get a life!

Unconstitutional "public health measures" are contemptable when the actions of a government is to shut down alternate sources of information, opinions etc. is a form of tyranny is it not?

One is subjective; the other is objective. Not the same at all.

An insurrection means a violent attempt (anyway) to take over a government(s). This isn't even close! (Nor was the Jan 6th either but that's another story). Lets face it, both Canada and the U.S. have fascists in government who want to take complete control over everything that one does. If you can't see that, then I really feel bad for you because when it comes, EVERYONE will suffer except the RICH!!

Conservatives have no right to talk about budgets or debt after costing us $3 Billion in one weekend.

I personally think the EMA is a stupid move on Trudeau's part, but also not shocked by it.

Because Gods forbid he actually DO HIS JOB and you know, meet with people at least.

That said, these morons don't seem to get that they've overstayed their welcome and they aren't leaving; EMA is likely the only thing to get them out at this point but *shrug* WTF ever; it's a shitshow regardless at this point. They ALL are fucking stupid, Truckers and Trudeau alike.
