So , what have the conservatives got to do with any of this ? They are in opposition and have no sway in the machinations. Of government .

In a minority government, when they're the second biggest party?

No wonder so-called protesters want to overthrow the government. They don't even know how it works.

What power does the Conservative caucus have ? You can explain it to us .

You will have to show me proof of that accusation. The stories I heard were mostly that the protesters were being respectful.

I will be the first to agree that blocking the roads etc is illegal. But, when the BLM/Anifta people and the natives etc were not forcibly removed during those protests, sort of sets a precedent, don't you think? The law doesn't go both ways, it has to be consistent for all.

Well, disrespect was put on Terry Fox's statue by upside down Canadian flags and 'mandate' signs (family and mayor of his home town mention it; I do NOT say deface because to me it wasn't defacing, but it WAS disrespectful). Disrespect was dancing on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (I won't mention the piss cause that could'a been just some asshole with a dog and not a person). Disrespect is blaring horns at ALL HOURS regardless of local citizens. Disrespect was demanding to be fed from a soup kitchen.

Having a homeless person beat up is not 'peaceful'.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/-just-...ts-describe-fears-trucker-protest-c-rcna15218 ---- in particular "And while some have gathered peacefully, reports of demonstrators blaring their horns throughout the night, accosting residents wearing masks, damaging property and theft along with the rare, but still disturbing, presence of Confederate flags and flags bearing swastikas, the demonstration has left many Ottawa residents on edge and afraid to leave their homes." Other examples are given after.

My cousin still says she knows people afraid to do much in that area because of the truckers; being fearful of leaving your home is NOT 'peaceful'.

https://www.cp24.com/news/calling-t...ays-non-violent-dangers-critics-say-1.5760997 ---- an interesting take on why this was 'not peaceful' a couple of days in.

https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2022-02-11/ottawa-vaccine-protests-pandemic-trucks-capital ----- a Doc's view on this which mentions the 'not so peaceful' moments.

https://www.cleveland19.com/2022/02...ice-ottawa-ohio-over-trucker-protests-canada/ ---- Bomb threats, out of boredom or not, are NOT peaceful.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-60267841 ---- If there are 80 criminal investigations going on, it's not "peaceful".

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-60281088 ---- ""There have been racist signs, there have been a lot of reports of people being assaulted and harassed if they wear a mask," Stephanie Carvon, Ottawa resident and former national security analyst for the Canadian government told the BBC."

So I'll also throw out there that I'm sure some will excuse some of this because of reasons, BUT, if protests last year were "ALL" rioters, ANTIFA, looters, etc, on the actions of extremists who used it for their own ends, I am applying the same here to this convoy.

PEACEFUL would be going to Ottawa, for two, MAYBE three days, holding the downtown to show seriousness, then moving OUT of the downtown to another place where if they stayed it would not impact the lives of "All Canadians" that they are pretending to represent.

PEACEFUL would be staying put, maybe having their "party" and fireworks and horns honking where it doesn't bother everyday Joe but it's still obviously a thing due to numbers, and marching or having talks with people civilly.

PEACEFUL would NOT be planning to go to fucking schools just to "Show the kids the convoy" ( https://ottawa.citynews.ca/local-ne...sible-targeted-trucker-convoy-protest-5051828)

I COULD support the truckers if they weren't stupidly hypocritical (vaccinated, but against vaccine mandates) and if they weren't just stupid in general, going to the PROVINCES to deal with mandates as Feds are limited with that actual issue. And that's what it was INITIALLY about. It only morphed into against, well, everything, after people started to get together.

Proof that persons are cool, people fucking suck and are stupid.

Go to Provincial Legislatures to protest stupid restrictions on, say, nursing homes? Absolutely support that. To protest the continual flux of what can and can't be done and beg for a fucking consistent message? Absolutely agree! Other issues, whatever, that's PROVINCIAL. And so long as there's no conspiracy/right wing assholes using those protests to further some stupid agenda (end ALL vaccinations, blah, blah), so long as there's actual CIVIL conversation, sure.

But do not say that this BS in Ottawa was 1) for all Canadians and 2) Peaceful.

It is for all working Canadians. There are a great number of people currently in Ottawa that probably couldn't even start a truck, nevermind drive it. Lamestream Media has been lying since day one.
That being said, it is time to end the protest, with guarantees from turdOWE on a timeline to end the jackboot tactics. Then when turdOWE fails to deliver we would have popular support to shut down the country until the liar resigns.

Did you have the same problem with a liberal candidate placing a rainbow flag and flowers on a Terry Fox Statue and posing with a liberal sign ? Was there any outrage at all over that incident ? Why not if it is so disrespectful ?

Really take a look at what is transpiring at the Pacific border crossing in Surrey B.C. A small minority of right wing extremists .

This is all about freedom and citizens rights. Despite the best efforts of TurdOWE's bootlickers and paid media the protest has remained peaceful and safe for all lawabiding citizens.
