Ditto? Happy New Year.
Unvaccinated people with Covid-19 are up to 60 times more likely to need intensive care treatment, figures show.

The statistics are the most startling among older patients, who are already more likely to become seriously ill if they contract the coronavirus.

As a trucker I now am required to get the shots to cross into the USA and back to Canada..

Hope you stay healthy .. Happy New Year.

Yep, & from the Truckers, the stories of their experiences entering the USA vs entering Canada are night and day, just like after 9/11. Canada is now (as it was then) ridiculously more strict. It would be nice if the CBSA from port to port & even shift to shift at the same port where consistent in their understanding of the enforcement of the Covid rules & ArriveCAN itself as it pertains to Essential Workers & the border.

Yeah I have my ArriveCAN app, which BTW when you enter the crap it's attached to your passport.. You wouldn't belive what is attached to your passort when they scanned it..

My TWIC Card in the USA, my Firearms License in Canada.. my Vaccines.. anything I have given my firgerprints and have been trough a criminal background check are reported on your Passport.

TWIC is the same for the TSA at the ports and airports.. CBSA and FBI check.. and you would be surpirsed what they know too..

Sure sounds like Canada is about 4 months or more behind on providing Covid Booster shots with respect to the here & now. The push is on in many provinces now with people lining up for blocks in Eastern Canada outdoors for the boosters as the most populous provinces (Quebec, Ontario, & BC) are all reporting record daily numbers of new cases today (105 cases in SK so far, but it’s following the same pattern as last time last wave but strangely Trudeau is not mocking these provinces like he did with AB & SK like he did in October for some reason?).

It will take a couple months to get boosters out widespread, and a couple weeks for them to take effect…. So it might help with the next wave after this wave but not for this one. If somebody was paying attention for several months back and looking at what Israel was doing at the time (3rd shots boosters in July & August) and could have figured out how to get one at that time….. but oh well. Hindsight I guess.

This latest pestilence variant just in time for Christmas. Good times.
Imagine if provinces had offered adults boosters at the 12-week mark back in September. Or even at the five or six-month mark in November or early December. This wouldn’t have been some radical jump ahead of science; the United States, United Kingdom, Israel, Germany, and France were all confidently well ahead of us.

(We might have to come back to this story about Feb.1st,2022)

Canada marked Boxing Day by crossing another COVID-19 milestone, surpassing two million total cases despite many jurisdictions not reporting numbers over the holiday weekend, and as hospitals brace for the still unknown impact on admissions.

While Omicron is leading to many more breakthrough infections in vaccinated people, doctors on the frontlines this weekend reported the same thing that the data show: Vaccinations are still protecting against severe illness.

“If you believe that Omicron is a milder variant, that seems to be true only for the vaccinated,” David Jacobs, a radiologist at Humber River Hospital, posted on Twitter Sunday. “For the unvaccinated, let me tell you that from an imaging point of view, it still results in a severe pneumonia.”

On that note, My Girlfriend & I each got our second booster this morning (3 Phizers & a Moderna at this point) and the annual Influenza vaccination.

Assuming it’ll be a couple weeks now at most before this blows thickly across the prairies for Trudeau to point his finger at (but surely not at Quebec!!), now is the time for a fresh booster.
Only another thirty five million to go till reaching herd immunity . Go Canada .

If you have two vaccine doses, get a third, he said. And if you’ve only had one, or none, get more, he said.

Furness believes that having three doses of vaccine will help us fight the virus down the road, even if it won’t save Canada from Omicron in the next month.

“Once Omicron cases fall, they will fall in part because of increasing immunization, and Omicron will not come back because of increased immunization,” he said.

Jüni said data from the U.K. has shown a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine can decrease the risk of infection by up to five times, and he called for an acceleration of the campaign to provide them.

Despite the clear weakening in protection from infection, the data shows that two doses continue to offer over 90 per cent protection against hospitalization and intensive care unit admission, etc…

I believe in facts and data.. and Ron is correct..

However, I guess where we differ is.. I could care less if people want to be vaxed.. I just believe if you are not vaxed, you should not get treated before cancer patients, heart desease.. you should be put at the bottom of the list..

Maybe a military run facility to stick COVID patients.. and run the place on a triage basis for the unvaxxed.

Life has concquences.. if you pull a gun on a cop, good chance you will get shot and die (Just ask T-Bones).. if you're unvaxxed and get sick, good chance you could get very sick and die.. no room for stupidity during a pandemic..

Also, I think the goverment needs to focus on therapeutics, pills and cures.

The hospitals should always treat all people equally , that is the basis of our universal system . What next , non smokers to the front of the line , skiers out of bounds ? Native protesters suffering burns on the blockade ,Maybe truckers that are 5 minutes over their limited hours , life has consequences.
We all pay for the system and we all deserve equal treatment .

How about if the heart disease was caused by the jab , should they go first or last ?

Thank you! I’ve seen this site from one of my anti-VAX drivers (OK, my only anti-VAX driver). I was looking for some numbers with respect to playing the odds in the “For & Against” odds regarding getting vaccinated.

With numbers and basic math skills, someone doesn’t have to understand the in-depth medical terminology etc…& can measure apples against apples:

I’m just in the door from work and dealing with -40°C bullshit, But will look at this a bit closer when time permits.

Rare cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the outer lining of the heart) in adolescents and young adults have been reported more often after getting the second dose than after the first dose of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
