SEATTLE — Billionaire benefactors Bill and Melinda Gates have decided to seek a divorce following 27 years of marriage, the couple said on Monday in a joint announcement that rocked the philanthropic world.

“After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the two said in a statement posted on the Twitter account of Bill Gates, who co-founded Microsoft Corp.

“We no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life,” their statement said.

Financial details of the decision were not immediately clear. The couple have three children.

The two are listed as co-chairs and trustees of their nonprofit, Seattle-based Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which was launched in 2000. The foundation ended 2019 with net assets of $43.3 billion, according to the latest full-year financials disclosed on its website.

From 1994 through 2018, Bill Gates, 65, and Melinda Gates, 56, have provided gifts of more than $36 billion to the foundation, the website said.

The foundation has focused its attention on public health, education and climate changes, with donations ranging from support of the makers of vaccines, diagnostic tests and potential medical treatments for the coronavirus pandemic to the development of solar-powered toilets.

The foundation did not immediately respond to a request for comment on how the group would be run following the Gates’ separation.

The split comes two years after Amazon.com Inc founder Jeff Bezos said that he and his then-wife, MacKenzie, were getting divorced.

Gates dropped out of Harvard University to start up Microsoft with school chum Paul Allen in 1975. Gates owned 49% of Microsoft at its initial public offering in 1986, which made him an instant multimillionaire. With Microsoft’s explosive growth, he soon became one of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

After an executive tenure in which he helped transform the company into one of the world’s leading technology firms, Gates stepped down as CEO of Microsoft in 2000 to focus on philanthropy. He remained chairman until 2014 and left the company’s board in March 2020.

Known in the technology industry as an acerbic and ruthless competitor, Gates drew the ire of rivals and eventually the U.S. government for Microsoft’s business practices.

The software giant was convicted of antitrust violations in the late 1990s but the verdict was overturned on appeal, and the company then settled the case out of court.

Gates’ public persona softened into an avuncular elder statesman as he turned his attention to philanthropy, and he has largely steered clear of the many controversies currently roiling the technology business.

Gates’ spouse, who recently began referring to herself as Melinda French Gates on most websites and social media, was raised in Dallas and studied computer science and economics at Duke University. She later joined Microsoft, where she met her future husband.

In 2015 she founded Pivotal Ventures, an investment company focused on women, and in 2019 published a book, “The Moment of Lift,” centered on female empowerment

Bill Gates Met With Jeffrey Epstein Many Times, Despite His Past

*Wink*

That would be not just epstein the pedo, but also epstein the genocidal pharma eugenicist.

Gates made his remarks to the invitation-only Long Beach, California TED2010 Conference, in a speech titled, “Innovating to Zero!.” Along with the scientifically absurd proposition of reducing manmade CO2 emissions worldwide to zero by 2050, approximately four and a half minutes into the talk, Gates declares, "First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent." (author’s emphasis).

Bill and Melinda Gates’ eldest daughter Jennifer is “still learning” how to deal with her emotions following the news that her parents are to divorce.

The philanthropists announced their split in a joint statement on Twitter on Monday, which read: “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage.

“Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives. We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”

Following the statement, Jennifer took to her Instagram Stories to respond to the messages she was receiving, as she wrote: “By now, many of you have heard the news that my parents are separating. It’s been a challenging stretch of time for our whole family.”

“I’m still learning how to best support my own process and emotions as well as family members at this time, and I am grateful for the space to do so,” she continued, “I won’t personally comment further on anything around the separation, but please know that your kind words and support mean the world to me.”

Concluding, Jennifer wrote: “Thank you for understanding our desire for privacy while we navigate the next phases of our lives.”

Gates, who is one of the world’s wealthiest men and worth a reported $130 billion, and Melinda started dating in 1987 after meeting at a trade show in New York.

They wed on New Year’s Day in 1994.

The couple launched the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000.

I really would like to get to know the real story here. Has wifey Gates had enough of his world conquering bull shit of trying to destroy humanity? Or has wifey Gates now thinks that old man Gates to hell is not doing enough to try and destroy humanity? Those two have been a thorn in the world's and humanity's side for decades. Or maybe they have something planned for all of us and it will work better if they appeared to separate? There has to be something going on here. BUT WHAT IS IT? Just my conspiracy stuff coming out of me. Of course, maybe the gates to hell couple are starting to see the writing on the wall that their globalist great reset and global dream is about to crash and end up on crashing on them?

And why is Bill Gates to hell buying up so much land and getting out of the stock market? Is there a monetary crash coming that they only know about which will leave the rest of us peons bankrupt and poor. I guess that only time will tell on this one. We must wait and see. Only globalists know for sure. ;)

Melinda French Gates began working with divorce lawyers well over a year before her split with Bill Gates was announced last week, partly over concerns about her husband’s dealings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The 56-year-old spoke with attorneys from several firms as early as October 2019, saying the marriage was “irretrievably broken,” the Journal reported Sunday, citing documents and people familiar with the matter. Her unease about her husband’s ties to Epstein dates back to at least 2013, the paper said.

The New York Times reported in October 2019 that the billionaire had met with Epstein several times, and once stayed late at his New York townhouse. A spokeswoman for Microsoft Corp. co-founder said at the time that the meetings had centred on philanthropy. Epstein had died in jail two months prior while awaiting trial on federal charges related to sex trafficking.

The divorce was negotiated during the pandemic, involving legal teams working with a mediator to divide their fortune, which the Bloomberg Billionaires Index pegs at US$145 billion.

The couple said that they plan on remaining co-chairs and trustees of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Billionaire Warren Buffett serves as the foundation’s third trustee. All three have vowed to give away the vast majority of their wealth.

In the days after the split was announced, a holding company that Bill Gates created transferred equity stakes in four different companies, worth more than $2 billion in aggregate, to Melinda French Gates, Bloomberg News has reported. The bulk of it is from about 14.1 million shares in Canadian National Railway Co.

Days before he died in a New York jail, Epstein named a little-known biotech venture capitalist named Boris Nikolic as backup executor of his will. Nikolic had worked as a science adviser to Bill Gates and more recently funded more than a dozen firms in gene editing and other health technologies.

In an emailed statement at the time, Nikolic told Bloomberg that Epstein had not consulted him about the will and that he had no intention to fulfill the duties.

Bill Gates held wild naked pool parties with strippers: Biography

And here we thought Bill Gates was as exciting as a can of white paint.

Wrong.

Behind Gates’ nerdy personna was a partier allegedly known for throwing wild naked pool parties with strippers and always ready to play the field.

That was even after he married wife Melinda, according to a biography of the Microsoft founder.

James Wallace wrote in his 1997 biography on the tech mogul, Overdrive: Bill Gates and the Race to Control Cyberspace, that his hormone-charged hijinks were hidden by newspapers like The New York Times.

[“The Times] didn’t report on the wild bachelor parties that Microsoft’s boyish chairman would throw in his Seattle home, for which Gates would visit one of Seattle’s all-nude nightclubs and hire dancers to come to his home and swim naked with his friends in his indoor pool,” Wallace wrote.

During his time at Harvard, Gates was also allegedly a frequent flier in Boston’s once notorious red-light district, the Combat Zone.

The long-forgotten biography says that Gates’ womanizing wasn’t curtailed when he began dating his future wife, then known as Melinda French in 1988.

“Being naked in a pool is no big deal,” his longtime friend and former Microsoft exec Vern Raburn told the Daily Mail.

“[But] there’s a difference between being naked in a pool with a whole bunch of other people, and being naked in a pool with somebody else, or in a bed with somebody else.”

Raburn added: “Certainly prior to their marriage, yeah — Bill liked to party. But I never saw any of that after the marriage.”

As Gates and his wife head to divorce court after 27 years of marriage, more alleged details are emerging about the squeaky clean Gates.

Among those details are his alleged friendship with disgraced sex trafficker billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and his arrangement with his wife for one weekend per year with former girlfriend Ann Winblad.

Melinda Gates was deeply troubled by her husband’s association with Jeffrey Epstein and the socialite accused of being his sexual procurer, Ghislaine Maxwell.

“He continued to play the field for a while, especially when he was out of town on business, when he would frequently hit on female journalists who covered Microsoft and the company industry,” Wallace wrote.

“His womanizing was well known, although not well reported” and his wife “was well aware of Gates’s womanizing.”

And Gates was reluctant to commit causing the pair to break up for a year.

“When they got back together again in 1992, however, the relationship grew closer and stronger,” he wrote.

Winblad described Melinda in the book as “an exceptional woman.”

So big bill was another dirt bag billionaire. You forgot to show the picture with Harvey Weinstein. Probably one somewhere with Justin Trudeau as well.

These are the industry leaders that we envy for their wealth and power. Everyone wanted to be like all of them with the yacht and private island.

Its all smoke and mirrors. Beware the madness of desire lest it destroy its own object of pursuit. Time to stop the bus.

I would have wild sex parties too if I had that kind of money.
