The USA also tests more than any other country, so of course you're going to get more positives..

If you test like Canada or México, your numbers would be 1/3 what they are now..

What a great job he has done coordinating funds for those testing sites

Every time I hear/read this, I can't help but wonder how the hell that person survives with being that effin' stupid.

The surge in Florida coronavirus cases wasn’t caused just by an increase in testing

“It’s both true and false,” he said. “It’s natural that as the number of tests increase, so will the number of detected positives. But the two lines are not parallel, which means that the positive line is a little bit steeper than the tests, so we really need to look at the percent positive. It could be community transmission, it could be spikes in nursing homes or some specific locations like prisons, but it means more increase, it means more spread.”

Also Serryah, Obama was praising Canada on how well we are handling the Covid-19 crisis, here is my take on that too.

If you look at the word meter of covid cases usa stands at 9404823 and deaths at 236101 which is a 2.5 % mortality rate on the cases reported. Canada has presently 234511 cases and 10136 deaths which is a 4.32% mortality rate on the cases reported. You can look at it for yourself and calculate it. It's there. And again I'm going according to the stats reported that all of us can see. So not sure where Obama is getting his stats.

Trump and the USA is doing a great job.. compared to Canada and many other countries.

Personally I don't think Canada's doing that great a job. Some areas are doing the job well, some are not. So I'm not sure that I can agree with Obama either.

But the US is NOT doing a 'great job', unless you're an effin' moron who believes the stuff Trump shits out of his food hole.

The problem being it's a Novis Virus..

However, I don't think Obama or Biden would have done better they openly criticized Trump for closing down flights from China and other countries.. Biden called Trump's travel Restrictions Xenophobic, so did Trudeau.

That may very well have save hundreds of thousand lives..

You also have to remember, the laws in the USA just like Canada, it's the Governors or Premiers who hold the brunt on the responsibility.

I am glad you and I can discuss this civilly, without you calling me names.. try to keep it that way please. We are all Canadian and it's okay to have different opinions.. that's what makes this country so great. :canada:

I only get to the name calling BS when I get frustrated or feel like I'm beating my head against the brick wall to people's stupidity.

As for Obama or Biden handling things better, I think 'better' is a point of view. Better than Trump, hell yes. Better than anywhere else in the world? Not likely. If anything it'd be 'on par' I think. Some states doing okay, some not so great.

Yeah Trump supposedly banned all travel to China, except he didn't.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-ban-travel-china-pandemic/

Reality is, I don't think anyone except maybe New Zealand has handled this thing amazingly well, but NZ is special because it's a total island and COULD deny entry, and did so quickly. Even Australia f'ed it up.

What issue I take with Trump to the virus is he didn't even really TRY to handle it right, nor did those around them. He left it to the states, but didn't even help them either until pushed too hard he had to try, and he tried LITTLE. Now he's given up when their so called "third wave" - which is really the first wave peaking for a third time - is azz****ing the entire nation.

If this virus lingers, it's because of nations like the US - with the US being the biggest factor - not bothering to control SFA.

Life will never be normal, the normal we knew is gone. We might get to 'almost normal' but not 'exact normal' and THAT'S the reality people need to accept. And that's even if there is a vaccine for the damned thing.

As for the election - to bring the point back around to it - I honestly don't know what's going to happen Tuesday. I see TOO many possibles happening (but I tend to be a tad paranoid to the negative anyway). The only thing is I know is regardless of what happens Tuesday, it's Wednesday when the shit hits the fan one way or another.
