Oh I can take it and have said as much. But I am genuinely curious as to why the decisions that I make to try to keep my family safe seems to bother you as much as it does. If following suggested protocols makes me feel safer what is wrong with that? Why does that infringe on your day? Does driving the speed limit and wearing a seatbelt make people feel safer? Does locking the doors to a house at night make people feel safer? Does having small children wear life vests when in water make parents feel safer? Does having a spare tire on hand in the event of a flat tire on a long highway drive make people feel safer? Do people keep guns in their house because it makes them feel safer? See pgs, there are many scenarios in which we take actions to be safe in the event things go in an unwanted way, and there's nothing wrong with that. At least I don't think there is.

I choose to wear a mask, I choose to social distance and I choose to spend most of my time close to home. Why is this a problem for you?

Hey, you have it right MB and are sensible about it. Some people have to challenge accepted ideas and protocols because it makes they feel "macho". Actually there is very little less macho than trying to be macho. :)

OSHA may instruct medical professionals on certain PPE, but they have no say in regards to the general public. The OSHA is a governing body that is responsible for the safety practices of workers in specific occupations. They are not specialists in disease control. I should know. I have a diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, and I used material from OSHA and CCOHS.
Not specialists in disease control? Are you high again?
What would WCB say if a healthcare worker was not wearing an OSHA mask at work? Any idea?

https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/healthcarehsps/respiratory.html

In there you can find CDC demanding OSHA standards.

3 A respirator is designed to protect the wearer from inhaling airborne contaminants such as dusts, fumes, vapors, and infectious agents associated with inhaling small and large particle droplets; guidance on appropriate selection and use is covered by OSHA’s respiratory protection and PPE standards.4-5 In comparison, a surgical mask only provides barrier protection against large-particle droplets and does not effectively filter inhaled small particles, fumes, or vapors.6-7 A surgical mask is primarily used to protect patients and healthcare workers from people who may have a respiratory infection or to protect sterilized or disinfected medical devices and supplies.

Reality is CDC who demand OSHA standards clearly state it not a defense beyond spray and droplets.

Even then you need goggles or a shield for eyes.

Give up already.

Do you need a week off to snap back to reality?

Whenever I go in a supermarket, as now when I went to Tesco, I don't wear a mask. If someone confronts me for not wearing I will just lie and say I am exempt. I always have this website - https://fullfact.org/online/equality-act-face-mask-discrimination/ - open on my phone so if they say "Prove it!" I will just show them this:

On 1 September, health minister Jo Churchill told parliament that the government has been “very clear that there may be people who should be exempt from wearing a covering for a variety of reasons. It is also clear that people do not need to prove it when challenged.”

So, in summary, you can respectfully ask someone to wear a mask, but you should be clear that some people are exempt. If somebody does say they are exempt, you should take their word for it.

Ontario cabinet huddles up as the province sets new single day covid record with their ICU's already at 87% capacity.

The claims we have heard n the last few months that the health care systems can now handle this virus is going to be put to the test.

There has been a lot of enabling of the end the lock-down clown posse. We will see how much guts Doug Ford has. Obviously Ontario has to lock down again but does he have the political capital left to pull it off?

Quebec is already a lost cause and BC is looking at much the same outcome as Ontario.

How will Mr Horgan's election gambit play when he has to lock down the province again?

As I said before, you have scared off most of the quality posters, so why no make a clean sweep of anyone who dares to have a difference of opinion. It explains why there are so many oddballs on here that have White Supremacist views. You anf the Trump lovers are certainly 1 in 10. At least in Canada.
PS...if you are going to make fun of me occasionally drinking too much, it may not have been such a wise idea to contact me three weeks ago, and tell me "if I needed to talk phone xxx-xxx-xxxx. No only does that make you completely untrustworthy, but it's not a wise idea to hit below the belt when one has information that can trace back to you.
So for anyone else on this forum: if Pete offers to help you, and makes out like he is "concerned" for you, it's obviously bullshit. I never texted or called you since I didn't trust you in the first place for banning, and bullying so many that they either left the forum or were banned by you. Thank God.
Go cry to mom.

Total class act.
Can you tell the truth for once in your life?
"Doped up" is something you partake in, cannot say that it is my cup of tea.
Nice of you to try and extract my personal data 3 weeks ago, by claiming you were worried, and to call/text you with my number. Good thing I am intelligent to realize that you had dressed down, bullied, and punted so many before that I would have been a fool to fall for that. Nice to see you are showing your true colours.
So what if I have consumed too much alcohol on 4 or 5 instances in the last 6 months? If that is all you got on me, that's pretty pathetic.
PS...Don't try for the paying for sex angle, considering Boomer, Blackie, and I have been open about it, and if I was a betting man, I am sure a good 70% of men on this forum have done likewise.
Nice of you to point out peoples faults, and mock and belittle them for it. No wonder why all the good posters have left since you became a mod. You try to bully. I would actually consider it somewhat of a compliment by your threats, as you consider me somewhat of an intellectual threat to your poorly researched theories. With a guy like Tygerbright, who came on here and bashed you for a month, he was somewhat of a sideshow.
By all means, ban me if it makes you feel better. I have seen at least 7-8 complaints about your poor character in moderating a forum,so at least I would find myself in good company.
I'll still drive you to rehab and sit with you in the waiting room as offered.
