Just broke 180,000 deaths in the U.S.

Yes.the world is suffering. But no other nation has mishandled this as badly as the US........and no other nation is STUPID enough to call this pandemic a hoax or keep minimizing the situation as it gains speed and got out of control. No other nation has had as much problem getting their population to adhere to the precautions and wearing masks. Actively defying the precautions by having large gatherings. ( Although CDA has been disappointing to a degree )

The leadership is one thing.(and it has been TERRIBLE)...... but the attitude of the population is astounding. , careless, selfish, ignorant and refuses to listen to the experts. They would rather listen to a liar who knows NOTHING. but tells them what they want to hear. Lies and FALSE reassurances.

People know what to do......but they immaturely and stupidly resist. So FINES should have been brought in a lot sooner.....when spots of self destructive behavior was evident. A pandemic can become self perpetuating....... if not dealt with. We are seeing that.

What is happening in the US is tragic and shameful........ and almost deliberate. Wanna bet they are stupid enough to vote this lunatic in a gain.?
Was it Trump’s fault they moved patients with Covid from emergency to long term care homes in New York ?

I just wish that more people would defy these crazy virus bull shit rules and start showing our dear comrade leaders that we are not going to take it anymore. It's time to put an end to this hoax and let's all get back to the old normal.
The fines and even jail time for defying these virus rules is criminal. Our dear comrade leaders know that a $50 fine will not work and so they put the real fear into we the people that if you do not obey their every command they will heavily fine someone with thousands of dollars of maybe even give someone some jail time. We now have politicians that have become nothing more than a bunch of bullies and dictators that now enjoy being able to ruin and destroy people's lives at will.
Sadly, there are way too many wimpy Canadians who always appear whom will never question or challenge anything told to them by their dear leaders and the media. Whatever those two say will be seen as the gospel truth. After all, those two would never lie to we the people would they? Why would any politician would want to try and shut down or have shut down a beach, like they did in Cobourg, Ontario is beyond me. Beaches are the safest place one could be. Pathetic indeed.

You're saying the same thing over and over, we need to talk about something else. Oh I know, how about those links I've been asking you for. You know, the ones that show the studies that were done to prove that surgeons and nurses are dying of lung cancer from wearing face masks? Now that would move this discussion forward. And imagine how satisfying that would be for you, to prove so many wrong about face masks.

Oh and also, still wondering how it is that Trump, who is controlled by the globalists and as a result has no choice other then to go along with the fake hoax virus, will be able to stop the fake hoax virus after the election where if he wins, would still be controlled by the globalists. What's your logic concerning this?

We as humans do not learn from history and are therefore doomed to repeat it. The Spanish flu lasted for 2 years. The second wave killed far more people than the first, and in total there were 4 waves.

It killed somewhere between 20 million to 50 million people. Citizens were ordered to wear masks, and everywhere shut down and boarded up schools, movie theaters, and business. Mail distribution stopped, as did garbage collection.

Many people had to dig graves for their own family members.

Here we are 100 years later, and what have we learned? Half the people do not want to wear masks because they think it is a hoax/it is not that bad/the government is lying/insert insane right-wing conspiracy theory rhetoric here.

People want to prioritize their own narcissistic desires and privileges over other human beings’ lives.

What did they have in 1918? No TV. No internet, not a lot of food supply.

What do we have? TV, internet, movies that can be watched from home, UberEATS...you name it. And yet we are a world full of entitled and selfish people who lack human empathy and act oppressed when given any minute sense of responsibility.

Travel is not a necessity. Movie theaters are not a necessity. Throwing parties is not a necessity.

Being a decent human being should not be a revolutionary act....it should be common sense.

It's just as good as if it had been written by you, you recognized the value of it and coincidentally all that coincides with my own thoughts. Needless to say there are a couple of posters on here that try my patience, whining about how we are curtailing their "good times". They are too stupid to realize many of us are having as good of a time as they are, while having concern for those who are compromised. There are many among us who if they contract this disease, they are finished, kaput, dead!

The 7-day rolling average is 1,022 deaths/day

71 days until the US election

1,022 x 71 = 72,562 + 180,000 = 252,562

If the United States does not curtail the COVID epidemic, they should pass the quarter million mark around Halloween.

Probably - there are too many down there with the same mentality as taxme and pgs!

Speaking of which...

This map was made from cell phone GPS, tracking where the attendees of the Sturgis Motorcycle Festival were from. Some of the hotspots include Minneapolis, Denver, Omaha, Chicago, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Houston.

Coincidentally, outbreaks directly related to Sturgis have happened in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

I don't think I'd read too much into that as the cities mentioned are in fairly close proximity to Sturgis S.D. and the three states are the closest to S.D. I believe Houston is now the fourth largest U.S. city and Chicago is # 2 or 3.

Considering the festival ended last weekend, and it usually takes several days to notice symptoms, the full effect of COVID may not be seen until early September. 250,000 people in a relatively confined area, is not good, and we could see a spike in Midwestern states.
How many people live in the relatively small area of Toronto ?

Canada has handled this pandemic far far better than America. In fact, it is not even close.
For the past couple of months, the USA is averaging over 100 times the new daily COVID cases compared to Canada. meanwhile, the fatality rate since the beginning of summer has averaged 1,200 in the USA, compared to under 12 in Canada.
The United States has more cases of COVID in overall numbers, and per-capita, than all other first World nations.
FTR< the population of America is only 8.7 times the population of Canada.
Population density is still giving you grief I see.

Except some of those states you seem so concerned about have been experiencing a covid outbreak for about a month now.

No.
15,748 cases in Toronto.
25,654 cases outside Toronto.
41,402 cases in Ontario.

What is interesting, is that Mississippi has roughly the same number of people as the City of Toronto, but has 77,894 cases of COVID, 5 times the amount of cases as Toronto, despite being an entire US state.

Is it true that the USA counts 10 for every positive due to contact tracing?
