Boogaloo Movement Tied To Murder, Violence And Disinformation During Protests

Members of a shadowy movement known as the Boogaloo Boys have been implicated in a series of violent protests and the distribution of misinformation regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus and in violent racial protests in a number of cities in the U.S. In addition, the Boogaloo Boys have been specifically mentioned in charging documents against Steven Carrillo filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Carrillo is charged with killing a member of the Federal Protective Service and wounding another. In addition, he has been charged with killing a sheriff’s deputy in Santa Cruz County, California.
The Boogaloo Boys, of which Carrillo is alleged to be a member, have been deeply involved with disinformation activities following the lockdowns related to COVID-19.
In a report made public on June 17, 2020, Blackbird.AI traces these activities including the armed mob that protested at the Michigan statehouse on May 1, 2020, and the subsequent flood of disinformation to the Boogaloo Boys.

Trump has many sneaky tactics he uses to cheat at golf. Rick Strom breaks it down.

If he cheats at golf, business and marriage, he probably cheats and everything.

I'd send the city cops (volunteers only!), in uniform but unarmed, to join the protesters. Keep them safe and calm down their wilder impulses. Show them in no uncertain terms that the city police force was there to "protect and serve."

Afterward, without prior announcement, I'd promote the volunteers. They are, by definition, the "good cops."
Not a bad idea at all, Tec. Most certainly worth a try.

So all the businesses that were looted, had merchandise stolen and windows broken - all those car owners who had their car windows broken, sprayed with graffiti and tires slashed are on the hook for repairs, eh. Insurance will cover most of it but then the owners will more than likely get dinged with higher rates.

Just doesn't seem right to me that those people should have to bear the brunt of the vandalism. Just sayin'.

Jane and Joe Citizen, the hard-working, decent ones, always bear the brunt. It's a shame, but the good news is that these things are pretty rare, and maybe Jane and Joe will use the lesson to prevail upon their elected and appointed officials to not let it get to the point of boiling over.

But you're right. It's cold comfort to a shopowner that his trashed store is a victim of forces over which she has no control.

It has been proven time and again that most of the vandalism and violence has been caused by white supremacist groups posing as antifa or BLM. Even the police have said so. People should put the blame where it belongs.

Yeah, on the Bernie supporters who sat on their couches feeling hard-done-by, thereby effectively voting for the crazy fat kid.

Yeah, I know, that's not fair, but it is worth thinking about. Taking yourself out of the game and pouting does nobody any good.

So what is to be done? You had a good suggestion about the volunteer police but unless the authorities actually do that, the destruction will continue and more businesses will be vandalized. More people could see their cars wrecked. Could this go on all summer? Maybe the protestors should just call it a day and head for home. Their message was delivered weeks ago - there is no more point to be made and by continuing their protests aren't they just aiding and abetting the assholes? When is enough - enough?
