W.T.F. don't you turn the news on, Walter and get the real story instead of perpetuating your bull shit. Fla. is worse right now than N.Y. was the height of the infection.
The number one job of the news media is to sell advertisement . No difference from the National Enquirer and the New York Times in that respect .

Is that what she died of ?Or was she just old . No offence and condolences . 95 is a good age to attain far above average good for her and good genes .

She was diagnosed with it. That is what they gave as cause of death. Realistically it cost her 2 years of her life (by my estimation based upon her general health).

We can get into a philosophical discussion about what causes death. Ultimately everybody dies of heart failure. The heart eventually stops pumping. I have a feeling that viruses likely don't kill people directly. But they load the system to a point where the system fails. So the academic question is what caused the death?

ICE detention centers are run by private comapnies as are just about all jails and prisons in America. Because capitalism.

About 1000 of their employees are covid positive.

Its just a snowball rolling downhill

'Unconstitutional and illegal': Florida Rep. announces lawsuit against City of DeLand over mask mandate

You simply cannot make an American do something he does not want to do.

Because the constitution
They are paying and will pay for their immature and irresponsible behavior. They are choosing to infect and kill others. If they had some leadership.....it might be different........But we are seeing the true character of their psyche . and it is selfish.* arrogant. (and actually rather stupid, when one thinks about it as they are making the pandemic worse , draining resources, over taxing the medical staff and services.... Shameful)

How Canadians and Americans are responding differently to wearing face masks

TORONTO -- Canadians are more likely than Americans to praise their government's handling of COVID-19 and keep their hands to themselves in public, but less likely to wear masks when out of the house, according to recent polling data.

Since the early days of the pandemic, British polling firm YouGov has been surveying people in 29 countries online about their attitudes toward the novel coronavirus and the behaviours they are changing in response to it.

Canadians have been surveyed five times, with more than 1,000 respondents each time, in what YouGov says are nationally representative samples.

This was one of the lower rates of face-mask usage, as only six of the 25 other countries surveyed reported less take-up of the masks: the United Kingdom (31 per cent), Australia (21 per cent) and the four surveyed Scandinavian nations, with Denmark at the very bottom at three per cent.

Even Americans reported being more likely to wear masks in public than Canadians. Since June 11, the American mask-wearing rate has risen from slightly above two-thirds to 71 per cent........More

I'm not sure if we should be entitled to longevity or not, but I'm sure we don't deserve to have life cut short because of ignorant assholes who won't social distance themselves, won't wear masks in confined areas and won't observe the rules about coughing and sneezing and washing their hands. They just want to continue with whatever turns them on and snivel about their rights being curtailed. F**K them!
If you or someone in your close family has a compromised immune system you need to take precautions. For the vast majority of people it is irrelevant. There is also a very real risk to people wearing masks that do not wear them properly. Or clean them. Homemade face masks have openings in the cloth that are larger than the virus. Washing your hands and sanitizing surfaces is a better option.
Same with gloves. How many people not in health care know how to remove gloves properly? I have also noticed waitresses wearing gloves and going from table to table with the same gloves. Might as well be bare handed because they just lost what gloves are supposed to do.
One of our firefighters came up with some information on door handles. Seems a certain type of copper kills bacteria. I'm going to try and get more information but the company website didn't have any useful information. My Naturopath says yes, sort of but not as fast as advertised.

With uptick in COVID-19 cases, Quebec could be forced to choose between schools and bars

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/schools-or-bars-quebec-covid-19-1.5648233

All of these places who have jumped the gun on reopening the bars have put schooling in jeopardy. America is the foremost transgressor here, but Ontario and Quebec are in the same boat.

Ontario numbers have been good for a while. With the mask restrictions in most large centres, I anticipate it staying that way.
