We just heard various analyst tell us the actual case counts are 10 times higher and the death counts 30% to 50% higher because tests were never conducted in most death cases. For several months there was a shortage of test kits.

It is true only one case was reported in Washington in January when an American returning from Wuhan had contracted the Chinese Virus. The man was treated and recovered fully. Trump then banned all travel to China. Cutting the source of the virus so he thought.
But according to Cuomo NY governor. That didn't help because the virus was coming from Europe where Trump had not initiated a travel ban until 2 months later.
The epicentre became NY and spread to all the other States. So there is some truth the Chinese Virus is an exaggerated Hoax.
The fact there are so few cases of the Chinese virus in Asian countries and the major countries like Europe and America are dealing with a more resilient strain of the CoronaVirus has scientists believing they should be looking for the source in America which is now the epicentre of the pandemic. They have been getting their clue from Trump himself who initially called it Cun!tFlu which was mistranslated as KungFlu.
The Brazilian leaders who were visiting Trump at Mar-a-Lago contracted the virus and returning to Brazil tested positive.
