Only the Dems have said anything about drinking Clorox.

That's one of many disinfectants, you see, Trump was being expedient in his comments. No need to list them all.

Which one are you going to consume?

I suggest something with a skull on it, you want to be sure it works......just ignore the caution part.

Drinking this will not lead to suicide.

Was offered a deal to get released but refused until the other POW's were.

pgs/pos - "I don't like people that were captured."

Tell that to a POW's face.
Did I state anything that was not factual ?

Wow, you sure minimize his time as a POW in Vietnam while "Orange Man Bad" or as I like to call him Draft-Dodger Donny, was back home soaking his bone spurs. Here, I'll paint you the bigger picture:

He was shot down over North Vietnam in October of '67 where he suffered two broken legs, a broken arm, and nearly drowned after ejecting from his aircraft. He was pulled from the water by some North Vietnamese where he was beaten, having his shoulder crushed from the blow of a gun butt and was also bayoneted.

He was initially not given treatment and was interrogated and beaten. After it was discovered that his father was an Admiral (who was named commander of all US forces in Vietnam in March '68 ) the North Vietnamese offered McCain release, doing so for propaganda purposes and as a way to demoralize other American POW's. But McCain would have none of it, sticking to the POW code of conduct that states troops accept release only the order in which they are captured. When he refused the offer, his situation worsened. He was placed in solitary confinement for 2 years and was beaten and tortured regularly. Some of that torture included being hung to the point of his arms being pulled from their sockets. He endured this type of treatment for years. I wonder what "Orange Man Bad" was doing during this time. Hope those bone spurs weren't giving him too much grief.

Eventually McCain made an anti-US propaganda "confession" admitting that he did so because he had reached his breaking point after enduring constant beatings. He felt doing so was dishonorable and it tore him up, to the point of refusing to sign additional statements. As a result, he endured continued beatings.

He was released in '73, after spending 5 1/2 years in captivity, being brutalized. That's who John McCain was and Trump could never come even remotely close to being referred to as a man in comparison.

A worthwhile addition suggested by Tecumsehsbones is the fact that POWs have universal praise for McCain's leadership during his captivity. Thank you TB.
Isn’t that what I said ? I am like the Washington Post , the story is what isn’t written .

Good summary, but I'd add that the POWs have universal praise for his leadership during his captivity.
Where his actions and leadership more or less then you would expect from most senior officers in his position ? Not trying to criticize or minimize his ordeal .

You would lose that bet. I watched a documentary about him some time back. What you told Mowich you knew, I believe was minimizing his service, and the following is why I believe that. With what Trump said of him concerning not being a war hero, and the fallout/spotlight being put on his service after that comment I find it hard to swallow that that's all you knew about McCain. I believe you were attempting to minimize because of your disdain for him because he defied "Orange Man Bad."

Then why compare him to others at all? Again, you're trying to minimize with a comment that amounts to well others were treated badly so why bring it up at all.

And no, I don't think his actions were more or less than what I would expect of any officer, to me anyone who served/serves their country is a hero. But I'll tell you one thing, McCain's actions were far above and beyond that of Draft Dodger Donny sitting at home with a boo-boo.

Trump is POTUS and McCain is moldering.

That make you feel all better did it Walter? Did you do a victory lap around your mom's basement with this post? What a little man you are. But hell, you're my favorite so I can forgive. I still love you.
