Good read Avro.
"While Trump is talking about the former vice president’s son's financial dealings, in Trump’s case, it is the president himself who has a company he still owns and profits from that has financial relationships with the countries that he is supposed to be negotiating with on behalf of the American people,” said Robert Maguire, research director for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
“There are definitely legitimate questions that are raised by Hunter Biden’s actions,” Maguire said. “They are not even in the same ballpark as the conflict of interest questions raised by President Trump’s continued relationship with his own company.”

Did you go through the Seth Abramson thread?

It's unreal.

He was a pilot who was shot down and spent the subsequent years as a POW . He was paraded around by the VeitCong because of his fathers position . Admiral I believe ..

Was offered a deal to get released but refused until the other POW's were.

pgs/pos - "I don't like people that were captured."

Tell that to a POW's face.

Now that we know your thoughts on the political career of Senator McCain, please share with us your thoughts on his war record - which would also put you back on topic.
Or.................maybe not.

His disdain for McCain's war record is political.

Admiral bone spurs with his three deferments says McCain is a failure because he was captured and little pgs's *TSS kicks in.

*Trump Stockholm Syndrome

Wow, you sure minimize his time as a POW in Vietnam while "Orange Man Bad" or as I like to call him Draft-Dodger Donny, was back home soaking his bone spurs. Here, I'll paint you the bigger picture:

He was shot down over North Vietnam in October of '67 where he suffered two broken legs, a broken arm, and nearly drowned after ejecting from his aircraft. He was pulled from the water by some North Vietnamese where he was beaten, having his shoulder crushed from the blow of a gun butt and was also bayoneted.

He was initially not given treatment and was interrogated and beaten. After it was discovered that his father was an Admiral (who was named commander of all US forces in Vietnam in March '68 ) the North Vietnamese offered McCain release, doing so for propaganda purposes and as a way to demoralize other American POW's. But McCain would have none of it, sticking to the POW code of conduct that states troops accept release only the order in which they are captured. When he refused the offer, his situation worsened. He was placed in solitary confinement for 2 years and was beaten and tortured regularly. Some of that torture included being hung to the point of his arms being pulled from their sockets. He endured this type of treatment for years. I wonder what "Orange Man Bad" was doing during this time. Hope those bone spurs weren't giving him too much grief.

Eventually McCain made an anti-US propaganda "confession" admitting that he did so because he had reached his breaking point after enduring constant beatings. He felt doing so was dishonorable and it tore him up, to the point of refusing to sign additional statements. As a result, he endured continued beatings.

He was released in '73, after spending 5 1/2 years in captivity, being brutalized. That's who John McCain was and Trump could never come even remotely close to being referred to as a man in comparison.

A worthwhile addition suggested by Tecumsehsbones is the fact that POWs have universal praise for McCain's leadership during his captivity. Thank you TB.

Good summary, but I'd add that the POWs have universal praise for his leadership during his captivity.
