Coronavirus is killing Black Americans at a much higher rate

https://trib.al/ceHHnb7

The corona virus is clearly racist and should be banned.

Same applies to Britain and I imagine other countries where black people and minorities live close together in poor conditions. Talking with my British pal the other day and he mentioned that his brother who still lives in England, was saying that some of the biggest outbreaks are in immigrant communities.

Earlier, I was reading that people are out and about having a grand old time in Hong Kong today - blissfully ignoring social distancing to take in the fine weather.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

USA now has the most deaths from covid19 with 21,969

It's weird how some folks trot out these figures almost as if it's a bad reflection on the victim country. You should look at ALL the statistics, if you want to make something out of this kind of shit. Which country in the world receives the most immigrants? Which country in the world do folks find the most attractive?

You must really be enjoying the empty highways . But what happens when you no longer can find loads ?

The highways are not that empty and the rates have been cut by 50% for the next year..

This is probably my last trip. I'm done with this shit, so are 1000's of other drivers I hear.

I've been buying up 7 to 8 months of food, and bringing it to Canada.

There is going to be big changes in the Canadian economy.. it won't be good.

Before I left 23 people i know walked from their trucks, $200,000 or so each

Someone has to eat that, being the Canadian Government isn't helping the truckers.. They can bail out the financial co.

Freightliner has just received over 40 trucks in the last month.

Doesn't mean a hell of a lot, as it's also the third or fourth most populated country in the world. Check the statistics before making your dramatic announcements.
Seems one needs to factor in the time frame that all these deaths are taking place too.

Regardless of how one spins it.....it is a lot of deaths in a short time frame...of the same condition.

I realize that, but I guess the only sure way to prevent it is to lock down all the borders and accesses, but is THAT a winning policy in the long run? There's a lot to be said for being welcoming!

Answer to both questions is USA.

It is somewhat of a dramatic statement, in its truth. If you look at it closely it's significant in that while the US is yes, the third most populated country in the world at about 330+ million people, China and India have respective populations of over 1.3 billion. So it says a lot that a country with roughly one quarter of the population of another has more deaths from the same virus. Those numbers could lead some to believe it's a result of a slow response and poor management. So I think OB's statement is deservedly alarming.

Can’t be that bad yet . I mean it takes time to catch up . Their must also be different shippers popping up .

Not a winning policy at all , for both countries , to destroy our trading relationship would be asinine. IMHO .

Sad fact is, we WON'T have all the stats, because some countries refuse to get all the required numbers to get an accurate representation of what's really going on.

Sad fact is the United States has no universal healthcare.

So let's see how that works out for them
