It's okay to be upset and vent. Did they not f-ck up? Would you be happier if he said "Gosh darn those Chinese, they sure made an awful mess"?

No it's bull shit Pete and you know it. Over a billion Chinese did NOT f-ck up! I have no problem acknowledging certain Chinese did "drop the ball", but to refer to them as "slant eyed" has no place on a public forum.

They have controlled voluntary infection - it isn't thinking outside the box its normal its vaccine development.

That would be a bit scary. Not being a big fan of vaccines to start with I would not do that. I realize they have to be tested somehow but what happens if the vaccine has unintended consequences?

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Here is the guts of the bailout for American workers, totally inadequate:

Washington (CNN)Lawmakers struck a $2 trillion stimulus deal early Wednesday that includes sending checks directly to individuals amid the coronavirus crisis -- but it will likely take until at least May before the money goes out.

Under the plan as it was being negotiated, single Americans would receive $1,200, married couples would get $2,400, and parents would see $500 for each child under age 17.
However, the payments would start to phase out for individuals with adjusted gross incomes of more than $75,000, and those making more than $99,000 would not qualify at all. The thresholds are doubled for couples.
About 90% of Americans would be eligible to receive full or partial payments, according to estimates by the Tax Policy Center. Lawmakers set aside $250 billion for the so-called recovery rebates.
Qualifying income levels will be based on 2019 federal tax returns, if already filed, and otherwise on 2018 returns. (Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin earlier this month delayed the filing deadline until July 15.)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They are talking a 2 month wait for any money.

Forbes estimates that 78% of American workers live pay check to pay check.?

How can people wait 2 months for a check?

The only people who can wait 2 weeks for a check don't qualify for a check.

If you read the article I posted earlier it said that if the House passes it within a day or so, Americans can start to see money as soon as next week

Vaccines are what has largely kept the population alive for the past 200 years! Is there something you would like to see replace vaccines?

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

So am I correct in thinking that NONE of the $82 billion has reached a single person yet? He stated right at the outset that there would be no one week waiting period! That guy is more disappointing by the minute!
News flash, JLM.............The Senate just unanimously approved the spending bill. It may take a week for Canadians to see the money though.

What was most disappointing but hardly surprising is that the minority liberal government saw this National Health Crisis as an opportunity to try and blind-side the Opposition with 3 sections they snuck into the bill long after all parties had agreed to the financial measures without so much as informing them of the changes. I heartily applaud all the Opposition parties who saw through this egregious grab for power and stood firm against it. That is democracy in action.

Perhaps it's my stupidity, but I'm sure I distinctly recall Justin saying at the get go, that folks would be getting assistance right away as he was waiving the normal one week waiting period. I suppose technically he spoke correctly, but unfortunately there are unsophisticated folks who don't always think technically, especially when they are hungry.

From Unist’ot’en Solidarity Brigade
Molly Wickham
“While most of us are hunkered down avoiding the spread of covid 19, CGL and RCMP are ramping up work on the territory and governments are patting Canada on the back for working so well together in a crisis.
MEANWHILE, REALITY CHECK= CGL continues to import workers on the territory bringing in pipe, clearing the right of way in Gidimten and Likhts'amisyu territory and transporting man camps around. RCMP continue to import and export CIRG members from all over the province to facilitate the deduction of our territories.
It's not a coincidence this is happening while I'm about to give birth, and while our people are preparing for discussions with government and now a pandemic. SICK SICK way to keep profit over people.
Way to go BC and Canada!!

While we are in self imposed isolation, the government is sending thousands of men to work on pipelines and Site C. Convenient, eh!

$40B LNG project cuts hundreds of workers to prevent COVID-19 spread in B.C. work camps

The Chinese GOVERNMENT ****ed up big time. The Chinese PEOPLE are not the ones we should be blaming and racist remarks about the PEOPLE are unwarranted.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

This pandemic is making people crazy!!

LOL..............the look on the guy in the red shirt's face is priceless.............like WTF?

Well that's a novel way of avoiding the possibly contaminated pole...........mind you being in such close contact with all those people could well spell one's doom in spite of the toilet plunger.

Great, avoid the virus by suffocating to death. That'll work. Sheesh.
