Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

Seems to me if a Trump supporter says Chinese Virus, it's racist. It's just another Trump "thing" to vilify both him and his supporters for, making them look like the victims... see a trend? Trump is not a stupid man, he knows exactly what he's doing and the public (as programmed) falls on either side of their respective lines and fight the fight. Trump is simply the flint.

Is it wrong to call it the Chinese Virus? I don't know and frankly I don't care. There are much bigger fish to fry concerning this virus other than what it's called. Was it in poor taste for Trump to say these words? I can say yes just as easily as anyone can say no, so who's right and who's wrong? Does it matter? Does it change anything? Who gets the gold star. Looking back over the video it's obvious that Trump paused and looked up before saying the words, so I do think he knew it would get a strong reaction. Did he want that reaction? Yep, probably did. I think he gets a kick out of pissing off the left and then watching his base come to his defense. "We" or they (as in Americans) are all just pieces being moved around a board.

There's more important and more interesting things to be concerning oneself with besides Trump. I'm not sure what the mentality is of someone who obsesses over him one way or the other for three years and I probably don't want to know!

It isn't so much how wrong it is to hear President Game Show Host use the race-based terms he uses, but it is discouraging.

You want to see and hear smart things from smart people especially about important things.

Obsesses or can't escape his omnipresence in the media the world over. Since the very day he announced his run, he has been the top news story most every day. I guess it's a choice whether or not to pay attention but lets face facts, this guy is a car wreck on top of a train crash next to a downed plane in a hurricane. And we, for the most part, can't look away.

The virus can live up to 5 days?

This is where the spitting on the street thing turns into a problem and why we saw the chinese spraying down on the streets with disinfectant.

You aren't supposed to wear your shoes into the house

It's starting to get ridiculous! Up to one day on a metal surface, up to 1/2 an hour on fabric!

Funny you mention this. It's not something I normally pay a lot of attention to but yesterday I saw a man let a couple lose outside a grocery store and it made my antennae twitch.

So it's worth getting your panties in a knot because of an actual handful of morons and "dozens" of slurs?
Or we can just call it Covid-19 or Corona Virus. Even though some people have stopped buying Corona because they think it has the virus which sort of proves my point about stigmatisation.

Why do you bottom feed through the news like a news carp? Incidents of this crap are very very rare.

When you clicked on the link to this forum did it say "Happy Hour at the NDP Caucus Lounge" anywhere in the URL?
