This is the second edition of how to tell if you might have Trump Derangement Syndrome:
You may suffer from TDS if you:
• agree with the liberal law professor who had to cross to the other side of the street to walk past a Trump hotel
• cheer when Biden says he’ll refuse to testify before Congress, but think Trump should be impeached for exercising executive privilege
• do not know who Candace Owens is
• support sanctuary cities, but think 2nd amendment sanctuaries are illegal
• want to see Trump’s tax returns from when he was a private citizen, rather than those of the lifetime members of Congress who have somehow become multi-millionaires
• get all your so-called “news” from main stream or social media

• think the epic homeless crisis in California is Trump’s fault, rather than the result of Dems and their liberal policies
• see the numerous help wanted signs and yet still do not believe the Trump economy is working

We'll be on the Next Thing in a couple of days.
Allowing witnesses would have been epic

Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of interminable yammering? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what course others may choose, but as for me, give me liberty, and shut the hell up!

Just heard that the Senate voted nay to allowing witnesses. 51 - 49........it was a squeaker. Must have been lots of arm-twisting going on...........and lots of favors promised.

Nah, once the hay was in the barn, they let Romney and Collins go off the reservation to "preserve their integrity" with a pointless show of futile defiance.

So Trump will prevail? (We can probably use a late winter holiday) How about "Trump Day"?

Maybe saner minds are starting to prevail choking off the financial "bleed" caused by this charade. Every American who is interested in seeing justice will get to have his/her say on November 3. (which is after all a much more democratic process, the results of which can not be argued with). :)

So Trump and his heel-clickers win the short game, but there is also a long game in play. I am not surprised at all that there will be no evidence or witnesses introduced in this trial. How could there be when the GOP controls the Senate? I wonder if this will set a precedent for future Presidents who may face impeachment. I think the decision made today is a dangerous one for democracy in the US.

the worse the taste the longer the public will remember it
I maintain the impeachment is merely the dems handing the rep senate an extremely long piece of rope.

Yes, the short game has been won by Trump, the long game is yet to be played. This election is going to get very ugly. 23 Gop Senate seats are also up for grabs this November, will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Um. . . I've been calling it a bad amateur circus from the git-go.
what astounds me is the cult like behaviour of the senate. They are so scared of Trump that they would give up any independent thought, degree of professionalism, & individuality This is very revealing about them as a group.........and how Trump affected they all are. History will not look kindly on them........and nor it should. This has not been a trial of any kind..... and quite embarrassing to watch. These are supposed to be mature, responsible, people who operate with clear and objective minds................but they have shown a side of the USG to the world that it is biased, deplorable and amateurish. The POtus three amigos........seemed to function in some alternate reality.
Now Trump can just pardon himself......and resume HIS status quo........of corruption and psychopathy. One could say that democracy took a big hit today........white authoritarianism got stronger via Trump.

Do you NOT think that you are judging the Senate based on YOUR evaluation of Trump's performance? Things don't work that way in the real world, Sweetie!

Politicians are cowards.

Didn't you know that?
