MASH-UP: Trump’s al-Baghdadi Speech & Obama’s Bin Laden Speech

Jimmy Kimmel Live

When Barack Obama went on TV to announce they killed Bin Laden, he spoke for nine and a half minutes. Trump yesterday, when he announced they killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, did for 48 minutes. So, for further comparison, we thought it might be fun to mash-up Trump’s speech about al-Baghdadi with Obama’s on Bin Laden.

Trump administration to scale back federal rules restricting waste from coal-fired power plants

EPA chief Andrew Wheeler says the Obama-era rules placed heavy burdens on electricity producers across the country. But critics warn that the coal waste could spill and pollute nearby waterways and drinking water supplies.
One Trump revision could keep coal ash ponds open until October 2023 if companies can convince regulators that they need more time to deal with the waste. Coal-fired plants slated for closure could petition to keep their storage ponds open until October 2028.

Trump once again chastising California for their failure to rake their forest floors.

Threatening to withhold funding.

It will probably take a week or two for someone to explain to him that these are not forest fires.

Judge voids Trump administration's 'conscience rule' letting health-care providers refuse to give care for religious, moral reasons

U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer in Manhattan declared the rule unconstitutional in a decision stemming from a lawsuit by New York and 22 other mostly Democratic states and municipalities. The rule, which was set to go into effect later this month, gave health-care providers greater latitude to refuse to participate in abortions, sterilizations or other procedures they disagree with on religious or moral grounds.
