The Bloc should love the Cons for what they didn't do to SNC between 2006-2015. As it is this was a sign to JT that 'he was put into power and he can be removed from power, . . . easily'. His bigger crime was mentioning the Hospitals that were way worse than the Residential Schools. Somehow him mentioning them and nobody else sort of makes him the only good guy around for some miles. Just saying, . . . the stench you all smell is your own rather than his.
We're back in an interesting time with respect to this issue now:
If a Probe on the SNC Lavalin fiasco was called again tomorrow or relatively soon, the Justice Committee could be a Justice Committee instead of a Justin Committee with it being proportional by seat counts. Wilson-Raybould would even be handy as the only Independent Sitting MP. The question would come down to the integrity of the Bloc MP's on a new & hopefully real Justice Committee.

Listening to Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale blame Stephen Harper for the fact the Liberals just gave an apology and $10.5 million to Omar Khadr reminds me of listening to Baghdad Bob during the Iraq war.
Baghdad Bob (aka “Comical Ali”) was the Iraqi information minister, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, who became globally infamous for his daily summations of the war, which had no basis in reality, and which provoked international ridicule every time he spoke.
Goodale — let’s call him “Roaring Ralph” — with an assist from Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould, approached Baghdad Bob levels of disinformation last week as they executed the Trudeau government’s strategy of blaming Harper for the Khadr mess the Liberals created.
“The Harper government refused to repatriate Mr. Khadr or otherwise resolve the matter. They could have, but they didn’t,” Goodale declared.
Except Goodale omitted that in so doing, Harper was merely continuing the policy of the Jean Chretien/Paul Martin Liberal governments from 2002 until they lost power in 2006.
(And WHY should any Cdn WANT to repatriate a proven terrorist with a clear hatred of western values? Oh Khadr is happy to be home now living on welfare and Cdn charity that has to be more comfortable than living in a mud hut or a cave and our charity certainly has to be better than Gitmo prison. But really- how much of the Islamic jihadist fire is still buried in the Khadr mind? Can we EVER fully trust him and do we even want to try? For most Cdns the answer is a FIRM NO!)
The Liberals made no effort to repatriate Khadr. They merely asked the Americans that he not be sent to Guantanamo, and happily dropped the issue when the Americans said no.
The Liberals just wanted the Khadr story to go away because they were embarrassed Chretien had intervened on behalf of Khadr’s terrorist father, Ahmed Said Khadr, in 1996, when he was being held on suspicion of terrorism in Pakistan.
Following Chretien’s request that Ahmed Khadr be treated fairly, Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto released him, whereupon he returned to Canada and soon after moved his family to Pakistan, where Omar began his terrorist training under the Taliban and the elder Khadr’s confidante, Osama bin Laden.
(Of course papa Khdr got into Canada in the first place after LIE-beral Chretien invited the Italians to release bomb maker Papa Khadr from the JAIL they had him locked up in for blowing people up! Papa Khadr was only too have to come to Canada and sire 3 sons and several daughters that Our idiot Boy Justin says we cannot deport! Why a LIE-beral would want anything to do with these people is a complete mystery- and probably a sign of mental instability!)
Wilson-Raybould said the Khadr settlement showed “rights are not subject to the whims of the government of the day.” Except she omitted “the government of the day,” which the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in 2010 had violated Khadr’s rights, was the Chretien-Martin government.
Why? Because it twice sent interrogators to question Khadr in Guantanamo in 2003 and 2004, and shared the information they obtained with his American captors, knowing they had used sleep deprivation to try and get Khadr to crack.
Someone should remind Goodale and Wilson-Raybould that Khadr was repatriated in 2012, under the Harper government, however reluctantly, while the Chretien/Martin government made no attempt to repatriate him from 2002 to 2006.
(It’s the usual LIE-beral hypocrisy- why let FACTS get in the way of a good story? Especially if the FAKE NEWS makes LIE-berals look better!)
And that the 2010 Supreme Court decision did not require the Trudeau Liberals to reach the settlement with Khadr they announced last week, nor did it require the Harper government to try to repatriate Khadr.
The Trudeau government was free to defend itself against Khadr’s $20-million civil suit for violating his Charter rights, something many Canadians would have preferred, even if it meant a higher court-imposed award than the $10.5 million the Liberals handed him.
(If LIE-berals or their hug a thug judges truly believe that they were legally obligated under our Charter to reward Khadr in this way then either there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the training of our senior judges or there is some major flaw in our Charter or BOTH! How any Cdn can believe that Khadr is owed anything after voluntarily leaving Canada, fighting with a foreign army in another country- against Cdn allies and then getting captured and imprisoned by foreigners should be seen as a sign of madness in any Cdn friendly to Khadr!)
(If Khadr feels he is owed something then let him seek it from his vile mother who aided his father to indoctrinate him as a child soldier and then let him travel across the world to join an army fighting against Canada! Or let Khadr seek redress from the Taliban that he made bombs for! Or best of all- let him sue the Yankees who shot him and imprisoned him- but I do ask that if Khadr wants to sue the Yankees then PLEASE do us a favour-after all you do owe us something for the $10 million- and alert the camera people at Americas Funniest Home Videos! Watching Khadr explain exactly how the west has mistreated him should be good for HUGE laughs!)
Canadians who believe Khadr was a child soldier forced into terrorism by his father and that he should never have been sent to Guantanamo can legitimately criticize Harper for failing to act with any urgency on his behalf, just as Chretien and Martin failed to do before him.
But the hypocritical Liberals, who only started caring about Khadr’s rights after Harper defeated them in 2006, have zero credibility on this issue. None.

We now have it confirmed: The RCMP have been investigating the possibility that someone in the Trudeau government obstructed justice in the SNC-Lavalin case.
The news was revealed in a bombshell report by the Globe and Mail issued less than 12 hours before Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was to visit Rideau Hall and kick off the 2019 election.
(In other words- Our idiot Boy Justin successfully ran out the clock and slipped into election mode -just before cops came calling to investigate!! And cops do not investigate political parties in mid election - for fear of influencing the results - so the Lavalin Mess is lurking out there - waiting for Parliament to resume!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(And isnt it ODD that in 2015 it took 2 weeks for LIE-berals to set up their govt- but this time around it will take FOUR weeks to get rolling!! LIE-berals are playing out the clock yet again and hoping for some MIRACLE that will enable their lame duck minority to survive!!!!!!!!!)

This isn’t a matter of speculation or partisan spin. This isn’t something that Liberal supporters can dismiss as people inventing a scandal where there is none. We know the RCMP have been looking into the matter because they have been interviewing people involved in the case and seeking documents.
And the government has blocked them from doing so.
That is the shocking part.
(It is worth recalling that our Federal Attorney General Wilson-Raybould was apparently FIRED FROM HER JOB simply because she INSISTED the LIE-beral solution to Lavalin WAS ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
The Clerk of the Privy Council has determined that cabinet confidence is more important than a police investigation into obstruction of justice in a case involving corruption. Ian Shugart, the clerk, invoked cabinet confidence to block the Mounties from talking to people.
(Invoking cabibet confidence sounds like one of those Constitutional CRISIS DEALS that LIE-berals so often create - at OUR EXPENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
That was confirmed to the Globe not only by a spokesman for the justice department but also a spokesman for Trudeau himself.
Ian MacLeod, the spokesman for justice, told the Globe the decision not to give a broader waiver for cabinet confidence “was made solely by the Clerk of the Privy Council as guardian of cabinet confidences.” Trudeau’s spokesman, Cameron Ahmad, told the paper that the PMO had no role in the decision.
Except they did, they backed it up.
(In other words a NON ELECTED civil service union HOG who is SUPPOSED to be NON PARTISAN - is a KEY PLAYER in the LIE-beral defence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Here is a simple fact, the PM could waive this issue of cabinet confidence and allow people to speak freely to the police if he is so convinced that no crime has been committed.
He won’t though.

Trudeau supported blocking nine different witnesses from giving full testimony to the ethics commissioner and the refusal to turn over documents for that investigation. He’s now backed up the decision to block the RCMP.

No doubt the PM will be asked about this and once again invoke his support for our democratic institutions and the rule of law. Yet it is those very things that Trudeau is mocking by blocking a House of Commons committee, the ethics commissioner and now the RCMP from fully investigating this matter.
On that cold February morning when Trudeau first faced questions on the SNC-Lavalin scandal, I stood there in a commuter parking lot just feet away from him as he denied the story completely.
Since then, as new elements have come out, as the original story was confirmed, Trudeau has changed his own story of what happened. When that didn’t work with the public, he started using his power to shut down every attempt to examine the facts in this matter.
Shutting down the House of Commons committee can be dismissed as partisan politics. Denying the ethics commissioner full access to witnesses and documents was wrong and petulant.
But blocking the RCMP is Putinesque.

According to the Globe, the RCMP will put any examination of this issue on hold during the election. If Trudeau wins on Oct. 21, the Mounties will be blocked from investigating permanently.
