None of this takes into account all the spring burning Natives use to do to clean/refresh Mother Earth, one of the last big burnings in Sask. was when the first capital of the NWT was caught in a brush/prairie wild fire that burnt it down.

You beat me to it Moose!

I was just going to mention the TVO documentary.....................................

that described how ancient native tribes routinely set fires................................

to ensure there was limited tree growth on the Prairies.............................

because natives depended on Bison and thus..................................

it was good for natives if Bison habit was maintained............................

by KILLING TREES with deliberately set fires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No fire = weak, malnurtured, disease laden trees, with massive forest floor fuel build up.

The grasslands are suffering the same fate.

Is that a meh too?
So climate has no effect upon vegetation and vegetation has no effect upon climate. lmao Maybe on Mars or some place without an atmosphere, but here on Earth ...........

Lori Daniels, professor of forestry and conservation sciences, is evaluating the province's wildfire history to understand what sort of changes need to be made to both forest and fire management in order to make landscapes more resilient to wildfires.

Low-intensity fires that crews quickly extinguish leave more fuel behind for the next season of dry, hot weather, Daniels told BC Today host Michelle Eliot.

"There's more fuels that have accumulated, dead plants and dead pieces of wood, over time.

"Now when fire starts in those ecosystems, there's much more fuel to burn, and it makes the fires more vigorous, faster moving, and we've heard our wildland firefighters telling us the fire behaviour they're observing exceeds anything they've seen in their careers."

The fresh grass coming up after a burn also attracted the buffalo.

When you take fire out of the equation how is it balanced?
You first. Explain how the atmospheric conditions are not influenced in any way by vegetation. Ever heard of shade? It's cooler n the shade than in the sun's radiation. Trees tend to add and take away moisture and gases. etcetera
If there's an overly dry season, there will likely be more fires. And conversely, if there is an overly wet season there will likely be fewer fires.

Right so let’s put a thermometer in a heat sink and use those readings as the norm .

So you don't think climates and forestry are related? lol
Not the way you are thinking.
The majority of fires are human caused. As more people go out into the wilderness there are more fires. Also to add to the biased numbers is poor forestry practices forced on us by the greenies. Mostly this is leaving too much fuel on the ground. We never had as much of a problem when we did slash burns.

That's why temperatures are taken in the shade of a white box in a field.

A healthy boreal forest can create it's own rain and thus climate. Our boreal forest isn't healthy and neither is Siberian boreal forest. It's supposed to burn.

Popular to contrary belief, boreal forest ecosystems are as new as modern man and interdependent on man setting it ablaze.

According to Smokey "only YOU can prevent forest fires" so don't f-cking blame me if modern ecosystems don't go up in smoke, it's your fault for stopping fire.

The provincial plant of The Yukon is fireweed . Just saying , for what it is worth .
