Walmart will stop selling some ammunition and exit the handgun market

The world's biggest retailer says it will no longer allow open carry in its stores in the wake of two shootings that left 24 people dead and while it has been under mounting pressure from consumers and employees to take action.

Walmart, which sells guns in about half of its 4,750 U.S. stores, will continue selling long-barrel deer rifles and shotguns, as well as other firearms and ammunition for hunting and sports shooting.

Walmart's right not to sell or to sell what they are licensed for, consumer's right to boycott over their decision or meh on the announcement.
