Looking forward to the new nukes we'll need. We're running out of river valleys to dam up. Ontario is pretty flat and there is nothing more left to drown, here.

Perhaps the new Hell's Gate Dam and it's thirty mile long reservoir up the Fraser will satisfy the demand from the self-satisfied Yuppies in Duncan who can afford to drive $65,000 Teslas.
Pretty sure the $20 or so billion they are putting into the Site C will have those ecars humming every day.

In 2043. When they finish it up.

SNC Lavalin up to their elbows in BC Hydro grandiose publicly funded mission.

Who is going to be buying the power from Site C?

Are you willing to pay triple for your hydro?

So many questions

Indeed and very good ones.

Maybe you can solve the problems of BC Hydro getting locked into intermittent renewables, relying on subsidized, high priced, private natural gas for back-up when the wind isn't blowing, the sun not shining and the reservoirs run low. There is also having to dump below cost to Americans when overcapacity. Is their any agreements between AB SK Yukon or NWT to buy from Site C?

More discount hydro for WA ID and OR?

I'll save the issues of "garage orphans" after your witless "white natty climate denier" rebuttal.

How much do you want to bet that Hoid's solution to garage orphans looks something like this:

He has already gone there.

A 2A 120V trickle charge only and that's if there aren't extension cord over sidewalk bylaws.

As for his BC Hydro claims, they are forced to buy from private NG power plants.

Even with Site C and no LNG boom they are short 400MW minimum not including making up for unexpected overwhelmingly growing usage.

To keep the price per kwh where it is, the NG sourced power has to be subsidized.

True but what is BC Hydro going to do? They have no energy storage capacity. Going Green forced them back on fossil fuels.

I'm glad moonbats don't demand the whole country switch to intermittent energy sources all while demanding everything go electric.

The intent for site C was for the mines that were to be opening in Northern BC and refineries with some goint to Alberta. Probably won't happen for some time now that we have an anti jobs government in Both Victoria and Ottawa.
On the bright side the ecoworriors will be paying much more than necessary for their green power.
