I thought Barr did a good job in the Senate hearings. He was honest and is clearly a very adept and competent attorney. I applaud his defiance of the intimidation of House Judiciary Committee who want to turn their hearing into a Stalinist Show Trial of Donald Trump. The Dems have spiralled into a lynch mob vis a vis Trump and are out looking for scalps, Barr amongst them, for failing to grovel before their cauldron of cackling hexes. They are so out of control that they have lost all pretense of reason and fairness and now just spit slander and spite.
They have also lost all links with the vast majority of the American electorate who have moved on from Mueller and are dealing with issues that actually affect their lives. The Dem legislators now seethe in a hermetically sealed, self absorbed Inquisition racked with a seething anger at everything Trump stands for and driven by reckless ideological hysteria.
Their own sophistry has lost all relationship to a rational, moral, cartesian universe and to any sense of geometric logic. It is now is subsumed into the pursuit of a disjointed, skewed, asymmetric dystopia. And it is now the Dems who are conspiring to pervert the course of justice and thereby are obstructing justice themselves. They have weaponized the judicial processes. And the most extreme ideologues of both parties always gravitate to the Judiciary Committees.
They are, at least subliminally, aware that they have lost their audience. Beyond the drama of the spectacle this is only of interest to political hacks, Washington insiders and the liberal media. But the internal dynamics of the Democrats make them unable to do anything but obsess on the issue. They are consumed by Trump. Such is the grasp on the party of the radical ideological tribal structure on all of its political mechanisms. Ignoring them will relegate moderate voices to the political wilderness.
Trump is obviously an innocent victim, or at the least a target, of mob justice run by political gangsters who are not going to take the fact that an exhaustive investigation found he did nothing wrong to impede their impeachment necktie party. And they are sealing their own fate in the next election cycle by operating from purely subjective prejudice.
