Brexit in disarray after House speaker moves to block third vote on deal
The speaker said he would not allow the government to present Prime Minister Theresa Mays E.U. withdrawal agreement for a vote unless it was clearly different from earlier ones. The ruling stoked further uncertainty and left lawmakers stunned and wondering aloud what comes next.

excellent. :)
The Speaker of the House in Westminster has just ruled that the government cannot re-submit the same-old, same-old Brexit question for vote for the third time. May has run out of cards to play. All that's left is the junk at the bottom of the deck ... 2 of Clubs, 3 of Diamonds, 5 of Hearts ...

Should the EU let the Brits have more time to decide what it is they want to do?

My first reaction would be "no". You asked for a divorce and now you won't go?

Wonder if the Brits really, really WANT a divorce It is hard t know what the mindset really was at the time of the referendum..........as much time has passed and things have gone convoluted PLUS

**********

wonder if the EU has a price in mind...... to get this mess over with.

This is not ding Britain any favors......... and their common sense image is being tatters.

(between May and Trump ....world delicate stability is even more threatened.)

I find it kind of funny that every member of the EU has to agree to the Brexit extension which is reputedly about the UK not having a say in the EU.

What's funnier still is that an extension is not going to affect the outcome as the Europeans have offered all that they are going to offer already and the UK has zero leverage to extract more.

Britain will not leave the European Union next week, after E.U. leaders permit short reprieve

The E.U. offer averted an abrupt, economy-shaking withdrawal on March 29. But Prime Minister Theresa May must get Parliament to pass her withdrawal plan or risk crashing out in April.

It won't be repeated, you can be sure of that. I doubt that the EU will offer the Brits anything new. They're giving the British Parliament one more chance to do something collectively intelligent.
