I've explained this at length before, and I'm not going to repeat that explanation. Suffice to say that the whole, evidence-free "voter fraud" meme is being pushed by Republicans, and all of the ID laws passed or proposed thus far just happen to deny the ability to vote to surprise surprise! demographic segments that skew Democratic (racial minorities, students, younger voters, &c).

Up here in backwards Canada I must show I D along with voter registration prior to casting my ballot . Of course the native population all have proper status cards thus having proper identification . Even the stupid ones hang onto them as it allows them tax free purchases .

You really should quit while your behind. Tax free purchases are only relevant on the reserve. Everywhere else they have to pay taxes like anybody else.

This just in , natives live on reserves . The exclusive Park Royal shopping centre is on native land , no gst or pst for card carriers. O and you still need your card to get tax free status on reserve .

Tswwassen Mills too and the Band gets a cut of GST/PST from all stores on Rez.
