The word ‘sorry’ means both immediately hello and goodbye when you accidentally bump into a stranger at the mall.


We’re so polite, when withdrawing money, we say ‘thank you’ to the ATM machine.


We’re so laid back, If a cardigan sweater was a country, it would be Canada.

Well I just watched Canada’s Minister of Wharever Ms Jolie address the Ottawa crowd in French introducing a fluer de Lisa who came on stage and said Vive led Quebec Libre . On our national broadcaster , on Canada Day , I was shocked , shocked I say .

Do you have a link to that since I can't find it online.

Accepting that you didn't misunderstand anything, if this really happened, then I thin it was quite disrespectful. A person is certainly free to support Quebec separation, but there are somewhat classier ways to express his ideas. Unfortunately though, with few exceptions, most of the separatists I've met have often been downright rude.

That said, there have been a few with whom I was able to have a friendly conversation on the subject. I don't think I'd changed their mind any, but at least I could have a friendly conversation with them. The others could perhaps learn from them.

The issue is that pigs doesn't understand a word of French and he has no idea at all of what she said.
