A great reminder of what Dems have done to citizens of the US.

Remember history.

It's true. If a Republican had been in power in 1941, the USA would have remained neutral, lest trade with the Third Reich had been jeopardized.

The detention of Ukranians and Eastern European occurred a generation earlier than MacKenzie-King's time .... under the War Measures Act of 1914 (Borden). The rejection of Jewish refugees was under his watch but not limited to Canada. The Americans interned Jews in a camp. I've been to it. It was located at Fort Oswego, just across the lake from Pt.Hope.

not a dem vs rep

not a left vs right

right vs wrong
Yankeeland has been committing crimes against humanity ever since the first pilgrims slaughtered their indigenous neighbors. It has nothing to do with which party is in power. It is about white privilege and supremacy; doctrine of discovery and manifest destiny. It is what the corporate/nation is built on.

Wrong.

Wampanoags saved the Pilgrims because they knew that if they were healthy they would be able to assist them in their fight against the more powerful Narragansett tribe. It was the right move because up until then the Narragansetts were brutalizing the Wampanoags.

See how stupid you are?

Because it was the law, because they were what was wrong with Germany, because they weren't Germans, because because because... If you are ok with this no matter how you justify it, you are still in the wrong... sometimes the people in power abuse your ignorance under the flag of justice, with that power they can do anything. Even commit the unthinkable!!

Every country in the world jails border jumpers.

Only two (that I know of) break up families and intern young children away from ... and away from all access to their families for open-ended periods, ... no mandated end. One is the USA and the other one was NAZI Germany.

That wrecks my anti Lib. narrative Lol

Internment in Canada: WW1 vs WW2
* Enemy Alien: Any citizen of any foreign nation or government with which a domestic nation or government is in conflict with. During both WW1 and WW2 in Canada, regardless if an individual was officially a Canadian citizen (born or naturalized), they were still grouped under the term and therefore subject to the War Measure Act.

Canada’s abusive detention policies could face UN council scrutiny

Feel that sting yet?

No. Not from you.

If it came from a respectable country: Norway, Switzerland ... it might sting. Coming from a fukced up culture like America's, the hypocracy is laughable. If you guys really were some sort of moral compass to the planet, it was well before my lifetime. More likely, the idea is just lingering propaganda derived from your re-written histories.

Yup, Canada is not squeaky clean. We have committed crimes against humanity too... a lot more than most would like to admit.

Our soldiers have broken the Geneva Convention from time-to-time, too but there were mitigating circumstances for the bigger transgressions.

The source is a Canadian Law Review fool!

It is coming from Canadians... unless you do not think your country is respectable.

Oh please go on!
