Hi! Hoid

You are believing the lie.

Didn't Roosevelt declare bankruptcy?

When Nixon went off the Gold Standard, was that not a bankruptcy?

And, please tell me how or where do you begin to pay down a 30 Trillion Dollar debt?

Over what length or span of time? A thousand years?

Ont. Lib. Media is really concerned for this upcoming election aren't they

Doug Ford to present fully costed plan before Ontario election

TORONTO — Doug Ford is promising to present a fully costed plan for the province before the Ontario election, although he has not laid out the price of his policy announcements so far.
The Progressive Conservative leader has been painting himself as a more fiscally responsible alternative to the governing Liberals, but to date has not said how much his pledges, which include plans for long-term care beds and a reduction of the corporate tax rate, would cost.
Until Thursday, Ford had not committed to delivering a costed platform, saying he did not trust the Liberals’ financial reporting.
He gave no financial figures for his plan, but said he would eventually bring the province back into the black. He noted, however, that a Tory government would not balance the books in its first year.
“We’ll have a fully costed plan, we’ll be able to run through the numbers and we’ll be very transparent,” he said.
“We’re going to do this in a modest and responsible fashion,” he added.
Liberal campaign co-chair Deb Matthews said Ford will have to slash programs to make up for his plan to reduce corporate taxes by one percentage point.
“I think it’s really important in this election that people see what he’s actually putting on the table,” she said. “He’s going to have to make very substantial cuts that will be disastrous…to our health-care system, to our education system.”
Ford also said that if elected premier this spring, he’ll call a commission of inquiry into government spending on top of the full audit he’s already promised.
The announcement came a day after Ontario’s auditor general reported the government had understated the province’s deficit by billions, a discrepancy the Liberals attribute to an accounting dispute related to calculations surrounding the Fair Hydro Plan and pension expenses.
“What we are witnessing is a betrayal of the public trust,” Ford said. “We cannot trust anything about the Liberal estimates or projections.”
The New Democrats questioned the purpose of Ford’s proposed inquiry and audit, saying the auditor general and financial accountability office are already doing that work.
“To have all these other experts involved is actually duplicating the work and it’s not necessary,” NDP Leader Andrea Horwath said. “Mr. Ford needs to look at his own numbers and how he’s talking about his own plans.”
Ford said he trusts the auditor general’s report but does not believe it gives a complete picture of government spending and accounting practices. The inquiry and audit would build on that work, he said.
“We go in there, we’re going to find additional waste, we’re going to find areas that we can drive efficiencies,” he said, repeating his promise to cut four per cent of spending.
Ford could not say how much his proposed inquiry would cost but said it would be “the best investment this province has ever seen.”
Ontario’s election is set for June 7.

And then there is this Racist Homophobe lol

Premier surprised controversial PC candidate Tanya Granic Allen is running ‘for any party in 2018’

Premier Kathleen Wynne has appointed three candidates to run in the upcoming provincial election — including one in Mississauga Centre who will be taking on controversial PC candidate Tanya Granic Allen.
Speaking to reporters after making a child-care announcement at Toronto’s King Edward public school, Wynne said that under the Liberal constitution, the leader can appoint up to five candidates.
“It’s not something that we use a lot,” she said.
“The vast majority of our nominations are open, local nominations,” she added, and those continue to be held this week.
PC Leader Doug Ford has come under fire for his flurry of 11 appointments last weekend, upsetting members and potential candidates in a number of ridings.
Wynne appointed Bobbie Daid, who is running against Tanya Granic Allen — the former PC leadership contender known for her opposition to Ontario’s sex-ed curriculum.
Granic Allen won her nomination in Mississauga last weekend.
“The tenor of the debate with that particular Conservative candidate is something that I think we all need to be concerned about. You know ... with Tanya Granic Allen, I think the racism, the homophobia, the really divisive attitudes that she has demonstrated actually makes me surprised that she’s a candidate for any party in 2018, any major party in 2018 in Ontario.
“But, you know, I think we’ll see what happens there. Bobbie Daid is a very strong, decent, hardworking, terrific candidate.”
In social media and blog posts over the past several years, Granic Allen has compared Muslim women wearing burkas to bank robbers, and questioned same-sex marriage.
Ford’s office has said the comments don’t reflect the leader or party’s positions.
“What I do take issue with is the niqab and burka because they are masks which cover the face. I don’t believe people should dress like ninjas,” she wrote in a blog post.
“I don’t believe that people should dress like bank robbers when going to vote,” she added, also comparing burkas to her daughter wearing a “Spider-Man mask.” She has said she works “with people from all faiths, all walks of life...we live in a pluralistic society” and that her burka comments were part of her advocating for women’s rights as she considers them a “tool of oppression.”

Against same sex marriage and the Burka, making her a racist homophobe, is that all she is against please tell me there is more

I keep saying ..... it is all a myth. A total scam. A belief system like a religion. It is a fantasy.

<snip>
So the interest on our debt that justyn n' wynne say they faithfully forward to creditors is really a myth, does lib hq simply pocket those $bils to cover vacations n' such. The transfer I make to cover visa every month does decrease my bank balance so paper does change hands cept I guess with our taxes that ottawa and queens park 'manage'.
I'd luv to tell my gkids they'll not enherit a mammoth mortgage courtesy our elected slugs but every person taking breath knows that ain't the truth.

Hi! 10Larry

You Said: "So the interest on our debt that justyn n' wynne say they faithfully forward to creditors is really a myth"

Yeh ..... Don't worry about the deficit, just the interest and don't even worry much about the interest because all goverments inflate themselves out of debt/interest repayment.

And quit comparing your bank book or your budget with a government budget. It is apples and oranges. This comparison is part of the propaganda the Ruling Class pummel us with daily, so that we will vote against our own interests. The Upper Class always vote and pay thousands in lobbyist fees to make sure that their interests are met.

When you vote, vote for whoever is offering the most social programs, because if you don't, any money left in the kitty or that can be swindled away from government coffers will be given to the Upper Class.

If the working stiff does not keep his hand in the cookie jar, the Upper Class will break the cookie jar.

The same Upper Class Clowns who preach doom and gloom about social programs here in Canada, got no problems financing housing, education and social programs within distant foreign lands (along with the bombs and bullets) so long as they get a 25 percent management fee.

Here in Canada, the Upper Class don't like it when a government cuts a cheque for a person in need and mailed directly to them, because the Capitalists insist that the cheque first be given to a Capitalist and allow the Capitalist to take a 25 percent management fee before sending the cheque on to the person in need.

Doug Ford is not saying ..... " Lets Pay Down The Debt" .....

He is saying ....

"Give more money (tax breaks) to the Upper Class because they deserve it more than the Lower Class deserve social programs"

Bottom line is that Ontario has been run by a lying corrupt government since Dalton McGuinty took the reins, then exited for fear of scandal and passed it onto Kathleen Wynne, the province has been in serious trouble.

Like it or lump it, Ontario needs a change of government.

Get ready for Premier Doug Ford.

And the crying that will follow.

The crying's inevitable whichever side wins. One will spend Ontario into bankruptcy while the other will cut Ontario's taxes into bankruptcy. I guess the latter is better by a thin margin.

For crying out loud. That's how the Conservatives always make me hesitate to vote for them. You want to promise expenditure cuts, by all means. You want to mention tax cuts as an aspirational goal, great. But for crying out loud, you sink your credibility the moment you promise expenditure cuts.

Whither the fiscal conservatives?

Fiscal conservatives who say they will make big cuts will not be elected to office. The people of Canada do not want to vote for politicians who will cut their shiny, happy programs. The way to their collective hearts is to promise ever more programs at no additional cost.

There is no way to argue against the above. Any fiscal conservative who promises to, say, cut tens of thousands of public service jobs will be instantly cast down. There are, after all, over a million public sector workers in Ontario, and they all have families who are voters.

Nope. Just promise lots of stuff. So what if it heaps debt onto the heads of their kids. Voters don't think long term. They think 'what will you give me to vote for you?'

Then you should be heading west
Yup. That's why smart people go west.

West? You mean like, to Alberta, which despite having all that oil selling at $100 a barrel managed to run deficits year after year after year, and now has an NDP government? That place?

Yeh .....

Sorry no sale on visa payments or lib debt payments being mythical both consume ledger space and someone hasta cover the entries with cash, no myth.
True budgets and gov budgets are apples n' oranges as only govs get creative to cover their mismanagment, bonnie an expert on creative accounting knows a fraudster when she sniffs one out and wynnes aroma is unmistakable.
My visa debt and my lib debt are the same, visa payments show on my bank statement and lib payments are reflected in orbiting taxes sans any reasonable government services.
The 1% will not be denied not matter whom you vote for as it's their business to have interest payments rolling in, mega corps manipulate political practitioners at will with party support cheques, shady perks, job creation promises and ads on fb etc. linked to a russian isp.

Hi! 10Larry

I heard a great comment during an interview with Frances Moore Lappé

"Why are we together creating a society full of suffering that as individuals none of us really wants?"

"In our understanding of democracy, we don't have the economic piece."

The ones that pay little or no tax will probably get a great, big tax cut right off the bat like the one that Trump just gave the filthy rich in his juridtiction. They,'re only 10% of the population, though.

Is that something you know for sure or just something that came off the top of your head?

You think a Ford government is going keep spending the way the Wynne Government has?
They won't be spending anything on LRT.

Wynn was just talking about that.

Common Sense 2.0 should cut spending to various departments in order to phony up a balance sheet to make their white power base happy.
