Turns out that the opioid "crisis" is producing a bumper crop of organs for transplant!

Cletus puts himself to best use.

A study has added a new wrinkle to this already emotional issue of life and death: A rise in organ transplants is linked to a similar rise in drug overdose deaths across the nation.

In 2016, there were 3,533 transplants using organs donated from overdose victims, compared with 149 such transplants in 2000, the study found. Overdose victims made up 1.1 percent of all donors in 2000. In 2017, they made up 13.4 percent.

Looks like the opioid crisis is no accident. Doctors prescribe opioids, people die, doctors harvest organs. Nice setup.

Oh, Cliffy, Cliffy, Cliffy. You think doctors could organize this? They can't even organize their appointments.

Nope, it's the doctors and the pharmaceutical companies! Now THERE's your killer combo! The ones who May Not Be Questioned AND the ones we give licenses to do the same thing we napalm brown people for doing!

Still, every time Jethro the slack-jawed yokel transitions from the fraudulent disability pension rolls to the organ donor list, an angel gets his wings!

Well I guess you're just baiting... being a Trump voter yourself.

Some folks start with the opioids and transition to heroin if they live long enough to run out of money. Some folks just dive into the heroin and crack ya see.

Like you, only south and west some. Out in the big square states.

That's OK. I'm well aware there are plenty of the type in Southie.

There were plenty in Southie back in the day. They cannot afford to live there any longer. They've been pushed to points north, south, east and west of the city with gentrification and all.

But then again they opioid crisis didn't care what class people were in.

Oh, you poor thing. You really don't get irony, do you?

I am pretty sure I do. I am well aware of the opiate crisis in rural America... the towns Cletus type folk live in.

Yeah, well, that's what you get when you let the authorities take over from the local crime boss. I know you prefer the crime boss, but there y'go.

That's OK. The fentanyl dealers'll find 'em.

Makes a body wonder why the deaths are concentrated in the MAGA class.

I am doubting Jimmy or the Authorities had much to do with gentrification.

Massachusetts is hardly in the MAGA class... and the crisis is rampant. Lawrence, Lynn, New Bedford, Brockton, Fall River... Solid blue eh.

Of course you are. Your failure to understand higher-order effects is pretty much your whole problem.

The numbers are there. Fraudulent disability pensions, MAGA hats, fentanyl, and skin cancer have an amazingly high correlation. Deny it as you will.

"A ten year old who died with a dangerous mix of opioids in his system"

And a MAGA hat?

Anyhow... nice bid bro.
