You're salty that Trudeau broke another promise I take it.

Flossy is always that way. His school friends tease him because he failed history. Sad really, but he's got to do things for himself and not have everyone do things for him.

Well, here is comes folks. Our troopers and air crew are going to Mali.

Canada sending troops to UN peacekeeping mission in Mali | CBC News

Mali is the deadiest UN mission to date with 162 Peacekeepers killed since 2013. The situation is steadily deteriorating and the UN has asked Canadians repeatedly for assistance. I suppose that on top of Canadian experience and quality, we offer them Francophone troops and presumeably, the Van Doos will carry the brunt of the deploy!ent.

Trumpites hate the UN. Trumpites sniffly because we don't have more UN peace keepers. Silly twits.

U.N. peacekeeping came into existence to rescue the French and British armies from a disaster in Suez. Canadian peacekeeping provided the Americans with surrogacy in conflicts all over the world and we were part of their "strategic mix". I smell the same thing at work, now ... this time against ISIS and Boko Haram. We're going where the Americans can't (again) and it is part of their global strategy (until Trump stumble-bumbles into it in a 3AM tweet and it all goes pffft!).

Better odds than meddling Soviet scum.

Go ahead, bet the lives of your ancestral relatives that the USA won,t and isn,t using Ukraine as a disposable forward bumper that will be crushed in the first week of combat with the Russians. Poreasshenko is rich frum looting the Ukraine, he,ll be on a plane to the states for his pay cheaque as soon as Kiev is on fire.

Eastern Europe has always been the buffer between Russia and the west. It's a bit less effective these days than it was before aircraft and missiles. That said, ground troops still have to move in and occupy territory. In Europe, that would involve shifting large numbers of soldiers and equipment through that region.

More Canadians will come home in a box.

Remember for all to thank Trudeau for that.
Possibly more then died actually fighting in war torn Afghanistan , looking at the number of peace keepers killed on duty in Mali .

I very much question whether Canada can serve in UN missions when we have taken part in the actual war going on.

Hopefully all those Canadians chosen to serve in Mali will return whole.

Conservatives want a debate on this deployment.

Too much like a war for them.
