Muslims worship the Creator; they call Him Allah in Arabic; some Muslims who are not Arab may call Him Khodah, although all Muslims call Him Allah as it is in the Quran which was revealed in Arabic.
Now, all Jews, Christians and Muslims essentially worship the Creator ... but because not all people speak English, they call the Creator with words different according to their different languages:
So God in English is the Creator, while in Arabic the synonymous word is Al-Khaliq ... in other languages He is certainly called by other names indicating this attribute that He is the Creator.
But [O believers,] dispute not [concerning the religion] with the People of the Scripture [or the Bible] unless it be in [a way] that is better [than theirs], except such of them as do wrong.
And say [to those among them who are not wrong-doers]: "We believe in [the Quran] that has been revealed to us and [the Torah] revealed to you, our God and your God is One, and to Him we have resigned."
The above in blue is the meaning of the aya of the Quran 29: 46
It means: Our God and your God is the same One .. that is the Creator, the Most Gracious, the Almighty.
But of course, it can't be called God in Arabic, because the word 'God' is an English word, and the word 'Allah' is an Arabic word which means "The God".

The reason why some leaders and followers among Jews and Christians insist that Muslims worship another god is:
Because if they admit that Muslims worship the same God as it is cited in the Quran .. then they will acknowledge that the Islam is similar to their original religions ... and by so doing all bounds, limitations and restrictions will be broken .. and then all people may come to the Islam religion and will convert.
