That the Us is racking up debt like there's no tomorrow is a good reason for Canada to try to reduce its debt. That way Canada will be better prepared to weather the storm when the US economy crashes. But if we're just as much in debt as out southern neighbour, then we'll both go down together.
Yes, perhaps when Trump and his cronies are finished sacking the US, Canada can buy the whole country for pennies on the dollar. Americans would see us as liberators.

Ite is a suffix from the Greek word lithos meaning rock or stone. Using linguists a Trumpite would suggest having properties of solidity and strength. Rock solid.
