Oh! The stock market is flying high- just as high as the people who think that what happens in the classic casino SWINDLE called The Stock Market has any connection to the lives of ordinary people!
Its hard to pity our poor prime minister Justin Trudope-that Boy with nice hair for brains now that his `sunny ways` are turning cloudy! He appeared recently at a youth employment forum and was seriously heckled by the youth he hade come to shmooze.
An obviously annoyed Trudope took the `youths` to task for their unwillingness to engage in dialog and their refusal to hear his words or accept his pious platitudes. Our brainless Boy went so far as to suggest that the attitude of the protestors was unsuitable!
Our Boy was aided by LIE-beral loving media who tried to paint the protestors as cranks unwilling to work through proper channels in a respectful way. Media whores even suggested that protestors simply had not understood the promises made by Our Boy and were now trying to demand results that Boy never offered to supply! All this is to illustrate the scale and scope of LIE-beral `WEASEL WORDS` and to show how thoroughly they are backing away from any and all promises made at election time. Not that they have any choice in the matter-Canada is bankrupt and the LIE-beral promises made are simply unattainable.
I say that Our Boy had better get used to people refusing to hear him speak. He can look forward to a great deal more of this type of thing in the future. For any person who speaks plain, unvarnished, unequivocal English; there IS NO NEED to engage Our Boy in further dialog. He has ALREADY SAID all that needs to be said-during his election campaign. He spoke freely and easily and made a series of promises-NONE of which he is willing or able to keep! It was the usual cynical LIE-beral vote buying exercise! Its just too bad that cynical attitude wont fly any farther in our fiscally challenged world! The idiot Boy is caught in his own web.

Boy promised money for infrastructure-and then supplied only enough cash to do absolutely essential repairs that would keep our rotting infrastructure wobbling on for a few more years-NO grand renaissance of renewal and rebuilding with LIE-berals in charge-just a series of tiny band aids issued -to the dismay of spendthrift and bankrupt provinces and municipalities counting on LIE-beral largesse!
Boy promised to restore the relationship between Ottawa and First Nations-and then made it clear there would be business as usual-with-surprise- NO LIE-beral effort to end endemic corruption on badly run reserves and certainly NO new money for clean drinking water or other essentials. Natives are now worse off than under the Harper regime-at least Conservatives were making strong efforts to root out corruption and limit wasteful spending on reserves. With `hateful` Harper gone, Band leaders are now free to resume outrageous spending on gross salaries, Carribean cruises and other frills while ordinary people live in tents in the Arctic winter, with little food and less work-and only alcohol to dull the ennui.
Boy promised to `save` the middle class-meaning he planned to reverse a decade of stingy Conservative handling of civil service wages-Boy made it clear that civil service Hogs who supported him could look forward to MORE MONEY in their pay packets and of course they now have LIE-beral LESS-they were better off under Harper. Boy has eliminated income splitting, reduced the amounts to be put into TFSA bank accounts-meaning higher taxes on savings and has a grand new plan to dramatically raise Canada Pension Plan contributions in the near future and it will be civil service Hogs who will be hit hardest by that-all while Boy ignores the imminent bankruptcy of civil service pension plans! Hogs do NOT want to live on CPP like the rest of us-they DEMAND gravy-LOTS OF IT!
Boy is also planning to ram his grand carbon Crap and Trade SCAM down the throats of any provincial leaders who do not come up with a Crap and Trade plan that is at least as big a rip off as the plan Boy has in mind! Sadly, the vast majority of Cdns recognize the various versions of LIE-beral Crap and Trade as the gross rip off that it is-there have been too many reports in the news regarding just how big a criminal racket the European version of LIE-beral Crap and Trade is for any Cdn-other than a gravy train riding Hog- to be happy about seeing it implemented here! And given the inability of LIE-berals to keep their promises and restore extravagant funding to the Hog gravy train, Hogs are now becoming afraid they will get hit just as hard by the Carbon crap plan as ordinary people!
Boy has also enraged the scientific community by laying off job lots of scientists. Under Harper, govt scientists were merely gagged and prevented from trying to embarrass Conservative govt by whining about the failure of Cdn govt to meet the demands of the cynical, exploitive and irresponsible Kyoto Accord-that foreign aid scheme designed to punish `Imperialist` Western nations economically while transferring carbon credits and cold hard cash to corrupt third world dictators so beloved of silver spoon socialists like Our Boy. Kyoto does not reduce pollution in any way, it simply moves the location of factories to corrupt third world locations with lax or non-existent pollution regulations. This is not progress, its is Soviet style undermining of western economic strength and standard of living-but what else should we expect from the Trudope family with their long standing admiration for all things Communist and dictatorial and manipulative?
Boy and his federal party supporters made much of their desire to aid students by limiting debt-and have now forgotten that promise -no new aid from Ottawa for cash strapped kids being treated as cash cows by Hogs running class rooms!
Some media pundits-more logical and less ideologically blinkered than their colleagues have suggested that the power base that elected Our Boy in 2015 will not be there for him in the next federal election and this is sound thinking. Boy has already disappointed his absolutely critical Hog supporters with his failure to supply gravy to the greedy. Even worse, he has disappointed and embarrassed other levels of LIE-beral govt by failing to increase transfer payments as demanded and by his carbon crap bullying.
Boy has disappointed environmentalists by approving a Liquid Natural Gas plant out west. The gas is to be produced in fairly LIE-beral friendly western provinces and shipped by pipeline to a B.C. port for export to gross polluters in China. While at the same time Boy refuses to discuss exporting oil from bankrupt- and hostile to LIE-berals-Alberta into eastern Canada. The fix is clearly in-vote LIE-beral and your provincial resources can be developed and sold regardless of carbon footprint-but vote Conservative and you can freeze in the dark.
It does not help the mood of Cdns to know that the eastern half of Canada is fueled with oil from Socialist haven Venezuela. Boy is exposing his poisonous Socialist/anti Imperialist leanings by insisting that we keep buying oil from his socialist pals while we must also keep paying unemployment and welfare to bankrupt Alberta oil patch employees whose main sin is they don’t vote LIE-beral! Its all oil-whether from Alberta or Venezuela and it’s ONLY LIE-beral politics that makes a distinction between the two and only a Socialist would prefer Venezuela over Alberta !
Boy has actually made life harder for our `youth`. By holding back on gravy for Hogs he has hobbled the economy as discretionary spending has dried up and taken entry level jobs away. Boy is truly in a fix-LIE-berals have discovered what Ndp leader Bob Rae did-that you cannot operate an economy for long on gross heaps of borrowed money! The economy has lost record numbers of jobs; with debt-both personal and in govt soaring; we have record trade deficits, with govt planning that Carbon crap that represents the biggest tax grab in Cdn history looming large over our already empty wallets. The job opportunities for youth are fading like snow in July as disposable income fades from Cdn wallets. Youth find it ever harder to land any sort of job and when they do get hired, they find frozen wages at poverty levels that do not permit them to save in a sensible way for the price gouging that goes on when they sign up for badly needed post secondary education. Kids are the victims of a powerful monopoly that purports to train them to be respected members of the business community and then consigns them-with brand new degrees and diplomas, to the McJob level fringes of the business world.
Boy also promised his supporters that he would alter our election laws to be `more inclusive and more representative of the community`. By which he means he will be rigging our election law to make it easier to jam up the wheels of govt and enable LIE-beral and left wing coalitions to grab power at essential moments. Too many people have read of the chaos and confusion that results from the proportional representation schemes that Our Boy wants to use in future. Public hostility to the LIE-beral election scheme is so strong that Boy has now swiftly dumped the idea of rigging elections in his favour even as his most powerful supporters waver and turn away from him.
Mind you, NONE of the LIE-beral supporters are willing to publicly condemn Our Boy. They are quietly trying to cut valid deals with whichever political party seems most likely to give them the gravy they so desperately desire. And LIE-beral friendly media whores do not intend to report on the increasingly bitter back room wrangling that is going on as civil service pension funds slide ever more swiftly into bankrupt status.
Our brainless Boy has issued a series of powerful promises to his most devoted followers-promises he cannot keep and that will be coming back to bite him on the ass in the years ahead. His sunny ways are being replaced by storm clouds as his empty promises are shed like old snake skin!

A new study from New Zealand's central bank has a word of warning for those involved in Canada's long-booming housing markets: There's a good chance it will end badly, and people at the lower end of the income ladder will get hit hardest if and when it does.
(For centuries- western civilization has seen land ownership as a good thing- a social stabilizing agent. Its why 18th century Brits had to either own land or have a certain amount of money in the bank if they wanted to vote. Its why Yankee govt decided that it should allow some mortgage interest to be tax deductible. Its why British govt chose to build masses of town houses after WW2 and make them available to be bought instead of merely rented. Its why Cdn Mackenzie King LIE-berals made all sorts of ultra low interest loans available to veterans after WW2 with the loans available to buy either a business or a home.)
Like Canada, New Zealand has struggled with a housing affordability crisis as prices soared over the past decade. Mirroring Toronto and Vancouver, detached homes in some of New Zealand's hottest markets now average above $1 million. The government recently announced it will be banning foreign home buyers from the existing home market.
(Cdn LIE-beral govt CLAIMS that less than five percent of homes here are bought by foreign investors- but really- HOW would LIE-berals know this for certain? You could even buy a house through intermediaries and then rent it to yourself- with rent money be laundered in the process! And there was recently an expose of how much money is being laundered through casinos in B.C!)
(In the 1970`s, CBC did a documentary on how thoroughly organized crime is infiltrating the Cdn real estate market! With added criminal sidelines- theft of building materials to be used in house renovations. Various scams involving workers collecting unemployment insurance after `working` in home renovation were the most important part of the job is artificially inflating the value of the home under construction and paying with laundered money!)
(IN one case 2 cops spotted a very posh Mercedes parked on Marlee Ave- the car stuck out like a sore thumb in that neighborhood- an area with a proven high frequency of drug deals. At the wheel sat a nervous looking black man. Cops questioned him and later testified they noticed a strong chemical smell in the car- that they had been taught to recognize as the residue of opiate drug production. A search of the car produced a kilo of cocaine and the guy was arrested. At trial the defence argued that cops had no right to search the car as there was NO ODOUR coming from the bag of cocaine sitting in court! Case dismissed!)
(But NOBODY ASKED how long it would take for the volatile chemicals used in production to dissipate! What a GREAT defence- ask to see ALL the evidence and open up the cocaine to “take a sample for lab testing” and then re-wrap it LOOSELY so volatile chemicals can evaporate QUICKLY- then stall the case for a couple of years then sneer at cops who cannot smell chemicals now!)

Hence the interest in the issue of housing booms at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, which this month released a study looking at booms and busts around the world over the past three decades. The study traced house prices through numerous economic disasters, such as the Scandinavian banking crisis of the 1980s when interest rates hit 21 percent, the Asian financial crisis of the late 1990s and the Great Recession of 2008-09.
It found that between 40 per cent and 50 per cent of housing booms end in a housing bust. By comparison, only about a quarter of stock-market booms end in a bust, the study found.
"The cycle of booms followed by busts appears stronger with house prices than with equities," economic consultant Maitland MacFarlan wrote in the report.
MacFarlan doesn't offer a precise definition of a "housing boom," but said in an email to HuffPost Canada that "multiple years of double-digit price growth would seem to be a signal" of a housing boom. That does, indeed, sound like Toronto and Vancouver.
(LIE-beral govt has relentlessly killed off ALL legal and logical investment options for us. LIE-berals buy their votes with gravy to civil service Hogs! MacFarlan found that when a housing boom does turn to bust, it's lower-income homeowners who are often hit hardest.
"In the lead-up to the [Great Recession of 2008-09], for example, the strongest house price appreciation in the U.S. tended to be with smaller homes in cheaper areas — price growth that reversed when the crisis hit," the report noted.
(“Strongest house price appreciation in smaller houses and cheaper neighbour- hoods” - JUST the kind of places that small investors can get into most easily and get screwed on quickest when things go sour! Govt is screwing the little guys while the big players MAKE OUT LIKE THE BANDITS THEY ARE!)
What's more, house price collapses are longer, more drawn-out affairs than stock market busts, the report concluded.
"Equity market busts tend to be sharp and short (a V-shaped cycle), with prices falling for about two years before fully recovering over the next couple of years," the report said.
"While house prices may fall by less than equities in a bust, they show a more protracted, U-shaped pattern of downturn and recovery, with downturns lasting around four to six years."
That squares with Canada's experience with housing busts. In the 1990s housing bust, Toronto house prices fell for seven straight years.
And when housing busts happen, they often pose a risk to a country's financial system, the report found.
"There is a strong association between housing busts and banking crises. ... All of the major banking crises in industrial countries in the post WWII period have coincided with housing price busts," MacFarlan wrote, though he did note that not all housing busts lead to financial crisis, and not all financial crises lead to a housing bust.
And MacFarlan himself notes that the risk of a housing bust does not make one inevitable; after all, if 40 to 50 per cent of booms end in a bust, then 50 to 60 per cent of them don't.
(Perhaps we need some further digging here- related to how much a housing bust is influenced by the level of govt debt? WE know that in the Great Depression of the 30`s- that 25 percent of workers were un-employed- and currently one employed Cdn in three works for govt- with govt paying its workers an average of one third more than private sector does. In the event of a major financial crash- if we were under huge pressure to balance our books swiftly or else- a deal of the sort that New Zealand and the Pigs- Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain have already gone through- we would have to FIRE a mass of civil servants- all manner of hacks and flacks and spin doctors and public relations types and pollsters in order to bring our books back in balance- it would produce maximum chaos- just as in Greece- and just as in the Dirty Thirties!)

A reduced ability to borrow to sustain those Hog pension would be an economy crippler!)

To be totally disgusted at the sight of a stolen truck-driven by a radical Muslim as it careers through a French street- crushing rows of people under the wheels is not exactly a sign of emotional instability. There are others who consider that empathy for the suffering of innocent victims is a sign of good mental health!)

The only thing preventing LIE-berals from immediately declaring Islamophobia as a crime seems to be fear of provoking a huge backlash amongst Cdns- so LIE-berals are huddled in committee seeking sneaky and veiled ways to implement their thought control policies! Ordinary Cdns are afraid of being caught up in vicious terror attacks while LIE-berals are merely afraid they wont get their own way! How irrational- and CHILDISH is that?)
