You are completely wrong. It works this way. When "your guy" is the president, everything good that happens is his doing and everything bad is the fault of the last president from another party.
On the flip side, if "not your guy" is in the Whitehouse then everything good that happens is because of the previous president from the other party and everything bad can be laid at the feet of that president. It's call the cannuck law of politics (named after the brilliant political commentator who came up with the law)
The law applies to Canada as well but also includes a sub-section explaining the effects of having provincial and federal leaders of different party's at the same time. Take Saskatistan with Brad Wall as Premier and Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister. Without cannucks law to clearly explain who is to blame for failures and who to applaud for successes, people like Petros run the risk of Sudden Cranial Paroxysm.
That problem happens more often if it's always the same two powers fighting each other to wield influence.

JLM is one of the Trumpites that is finally realizing that he doesn't like what he sees. Of course, he's far too stubborn to admit it so at this point he likes to pretend that all Donny needs is a few rough edges smoothed out.
