No, If you were born before 1982 you qualified for full status only if your father was native, if your mother is native and you father white, you are just a Métis under the Canada constitution act (1982)It's done by percentage, like the calculation that native people use here to determine whether one is Indian enough to live on the Res.

I could probably get status if I went to the Maniwakee reserve offices and speak to whoever is in charge but it wouldn't benefit me more than the Métis card I got just to acknowledge my heritage!
