Apparently, GoFundMe donors have given her big money, so far. That's how loathed the Trumpatola really is.
So what is the rule about taxation on gofund me earnings? Government gets its cut?

Since she did not initiate the fund, did not solicit money, and has not rendered any service for the $, it does not constitute taxable income. Note that anyone who gives more than the gift tax exemption amount ($14,000) will have to file IRS tax form 709 and may possibly have to pay a gift tax. The states may have individual mandates on this but I don't know that for a fact.
I don't consider it a "wammy".

That gal should auction off her bicycle as well. She's become quite the Pop Culture starlet. I bet somebody would pick it up for a pretty penny.
