The comment about budgets balancing themselves was clearly part of a comment about economic growth. If the gov't spends money to spur the economy, the growth results in more government revenue.

What tenpenny doesn't understand is that a budget is a planning document based on specific assumptions. To believe that it will balance itself predicated on some self- directing, after-the-fact situation displays a remarkably high degree of ignorance in a big way.

The only question remaining for those persons that believe in the self-balancing budgets is: why bother generating a budget at all, seeing how they magically take care of themselves
