First a bird watching thread...now a scenic highway thread...

Now excuse me while I make balloon animals out of my genitals.

Last time I was down that road it was at high speed, no time for photos.
Better tires and no stripes. Traded the '350' for a '454' 50mph in 1st, 110mph in 2nd, 150+ in 3rd 12mpg whether it was idling or hauling ass.

Thankyou for the unnesssary clarification, I enjoyed your original picture by the way, I'm envious that you get to see so much of the continent. Drivin rigs has perks for sure.

I owned a sporty car at one time it were a turbo charged 64 Corvair Monza Spyder convertable.
I had a buddy that had a different model, I could run up a hill faster than he could go. I was driving a 450hp '57 chev at the time and they would not let me take my wrenches to it, wonder why???

If I had to do it all over again I would have had one vehicle and the engine might be a bit different but big blocks are the only way to fly, overdrive for sure so hwy speed is at 1200 rpm

Big blocks went through the hood, mine had the same scoop the Camaro had. This pic is because it was flat black.

BTW a porch engine could have been a replacement for your pancaked 6.

I moved around a lot so the pics I took got lost along the way/Mine was pearl white. Bought the car for $400 and went into the chev dealer and pointed to the rad support and said, 'I have this part, I need to order the rest of the front clip.' Went to the wrecker and picked up the engine and dropped it off and told him what car I had and the gear-ratio and tire size and picked it up 6 weeks later. The reason it capped out at just over 150 is because I went with single valve springs ant let the ones it came with go to somebody who needed the high revs. Back then with a T400 trans I went with 2:73 gears, today that would be 4:11 and an R700. The trans was built for the '57 but I went back to the 4 speed as I could stop faster if the engine was helping (12/1 pistons made the 310cu in slow the car down as good as a low compression big block.
The camera was a Pentax 35mm with a variety of lenses, the Bosh&Lomb spotting scope connected with a 30mm adapter. Better at airshows (pilots head visible from a few miles away) Took a 110 compact when running cats in the Arctic, (land part and 4 ft of ice on the lakes. Slide film was much better quality than film processed in a dark-room. You should get some darkroom cloth for your caboose, light tight with the texture of velvet.

Lake Louise to Banff in the Camaro was racing both ways, cars one way and bikers the other way, yes we were all pretty drunk and even drunker on the way back.
