They punched the Nazi first, then sent in the nice black lady to make peace.
How do you respect someone who thinks that the holocaust was okay?
Didn't you read the article? He was convicted of a crime and served a prison term, and the nice black lady was his probation officer. That's not the same as vigilantism.
You respect him as a human being whose humanity we ought to respect, not his ideas. It is possible to respect a person without respecting his ideas. It's like the saying: love the sinner, hate the sin.
Also, if you read the article I posted, it explains how he became a Nazi. He lived in a black neighbourhood where a black man attacked his mother once, where he too encountered problems with blacks. obviously to simply deny his experience is not going to solve the problem but might even reinforce it. to meet a black woman who was different from the other blacks he'd met proved to him that his prejudices against blacks were wrong and so forced him to reassess his beliefs. You see, unlike antifas, that black woman applied basis science, psychology, to remedy his racism rather than the superstition (not supported by any study, anecdotal, statistical, or otherwise that I know) that a person can somehow beat racism out of another.

Impractical.
Your scenario is one where a dangerous person is already imprisoned and contained and is therefore forced to consider rehabilitation.
Out in the open these people have no reservation spewing hatred, and I have no problem with consequences for their actions.
Over the years I've done a lot of research on true crime for a novel I am writing. Within the 100,000's of pages I've read, a commonality with many rapists and killers is that their defective nature is often traced back to upbringing. Not in all cases, but certainly most. Serial killer Robert Pickton was a bi-product of an extremely ****ed up family, he went on to kill 27 women. He is but one example of hundreds I could post. Even Omar Khadr had a life that channeled from ordinary kid to being a terrorist bomb maker.
I don't have any respect for them, so why should I respect somebody that has embraced an ideology that denies or endorses the holocaust, espouses racism and promotes violence?
We all make choices, sometimes the choices are made for us, but how we conduct ourselves and how we treat others is really how we either lose or gain respect. As to this woman who decided to peel back a few layers and see what lurked beneath the hate, well that is her choice, but I'm not sure why he gets a pass when others don't.

I've seen this lovely pic a hundred times, now. Love it so much I'll likely watch it a thousand times more.![]()

On the contrary, the swastika that the c°ck sucker wears is antisocial as is those who defend it. Violence breeds violence. Nobody told the fμcker to wear it. His hatred is what brought on the punch so that it is well deserved.
Hopefully, he will now learn his lesson.
The Swastika predates the Nazi thing by thousands of years,it is blameless and you are a fool like Hitler to think otherwise.Long after the Nazi thing is forgotten the swastika will be remembered for its four corners.![]()
