The only Republicans who are in a uproar over this deal are the NeoCon Establishment who use these budget negotiations as a lever to deconstruct government and especially programs of entitlements and income redistribution. Trump is not a NeoCon... he's not a libertarian, free market ideologue.
He is a social conservative who opposes the feminist, homosexual, death lobbies (which the NeoCons give lip service to ONLY) and the AGW fraud.. but he is going to be completely unpredictable with respect to government spending. He is committed to huge investment in infrastructure.. and to the absolute dismay of the Repub Establishment, he does not go into paroxysms of outrage over the Deficit.
He might even do what John Kennedy threatened in the 1960s. Simply print money rather than issue interest bearing bonds which puts immense constraints on future spending, and sells out sovereingnty to foreign governments, notably those awash with American currency from massive balance of trade deficits.

A clean western politician is an impossibility. Like you say none are clean. However I believe that will change with the hangings to come.
